I'm hoping I can get off with probation, pay the fine and be done with it, and thank you.

race in a 10-13 second field where the people who race you wont be laughing at your 4 cylinder NA the whole time.
Your first mistake is quantifying a FWD car using drag racing numbers. These cars are REALLY good in the twisties and I beat a Mustang Mach 1 and a BMW 328xi (among others) when I went AutoXing my first time.

Your second mistake was keeping that retarded wing on an otherwise nice car.

Your not very smart. There's no way you beat a Mach 1 on a road course unless that driver was just plain retarded, especially in your automatic fat ass sedan 2.4. At best yours does mid 15's in the 1/4 mile. Who says FWD can't drag race, there are PLENTY of people on here who test their cars weekly just to see what numbers they can run and to get better. Hell, theres a guy on here (Ralliartist) who broke 12's with nothing but cooling mods on his LSJ. Please dont ever argue that a 2.4 Cobalt is fast unless its boosted or you're speaking in relative terms to a Prius.

Good luck on the M62 build though. I'll be doing the same thing.

lol nothing but cooling mods? are you a retard? wait we already established that, you are. The lsj in stock for is a 14 second car, a LE5 is a mid to low 15 second car. 1 second difference and about 30hp difference. Dont act all high and mighty dumbshit.

i got caught doing 110 in a 55 on my bike. pulled me over when i was on the off ramp getting off the interstate. He said he was glad i stopped because his camera snapped a picture of my license plate and didnt want to have to show up at my place to take me to jail.

ended up getting a restricted driver license for 6 months, defensive driver course, sport bike safety course, 1200 fine, 120 days of jail that got cut suspended down to 10 days, 9 points and 1 year incident free, which is now over. thank god!

YES nothing but cooling mods. Why dont you do a search? On top of that, NO its not a 30hp difference. IF you knew anything, 2.4's favorably run 150whp stock and LSJ's (aka SS Supercharged) run anywhere from 210 to 230whp stock. If you can do that math please come back and let me know. Do research before you argue with someone on something you clearly know nothing about.

First start off researching Ralliartist. Here i've done it for you. This is his mod list.
Stock intake, long block, pulley, NO INTERNAL WORK!
Pacesetter header
Custom 2.5" downpipe
2.5" cutout at the end of the downpipe
75/25 meth mix
GM dual pass
CXRacing front mount Heat Exchanger
DIY tranny mounts
26"x10.5"x16" MT ET STREETS mounted on 16"x7.5" rims.
42lb injectors
Drag bags
custom tune by area47

Basically nothing but cooling mods, please again dont argue that exhaust is a huge factor of a mod because its really not, 4 banger Honda boys seem to think so.

90% cooling mods, some tires, and a tune. NO SUPERCHARGER WORK DONE. Broke into 12's. End of discussion.

Is there anything else you would like to discuss?

Not a road course, an AutoX course as in tight turns, quick slaloms, narrow lanes, and a general course layout where horsepower and oversteer can be a real disadvantage. I'd probably have beat the guy who brought his new SS Camaro there too if I wasn't running bald Pirelli P6s still (he was only 4 seconds faster than me). Cobalts are quick and agile cars, even the Auto Sedans (I'd argue ESPECIALLY the autos in an AutoX setting since our tranny never has to shift out of first gear and we run it at close to redline most of the time). IMO, any idiot can drive in a straight line and slam through the gears; taking a car and putting it through the twisties and keeping it under control is a HUGE challenge.

whoa........ I honestly don't think they can get near 230 stock. I know they are underrated but damnnnnnnnn....... maybe 220..... unless you have a factory freak....

I aint arguin with you though. Just didn't think that was possible.....

And the 2.4 is sadly pretty slow. It sounds good with an intake though.. lol...

Do you think i can get my 2.4 auto up over 180 whp with just bolt ons? and a tune of course?

I cannot believe how many people in this thread have laughed about getting caught street racing or speeding excessively. It's NOT cool nor funny.

All it takes is one bad decision on your part or somebody else's part and life will change drastically.

The common practice here is run and park the car in some driveway. Run home and call the car in stolen.

I say park it in a parking lot, so you don't get some innocent person involved.... but you can be a complete dick if you want....
