AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HH X10000000000000

1. No you cant change it
2. You shouldnt change it. Its an auto, no reason to be revving that high and/or trying to neutral drop
3. why would you want to rev that high, its bad for your engine the only purpose it would serve is to do harm and showboating...

nothing we can do. but its basically gm's way of trying to keep you out of the dealerships for damage done to the engine beyond there control. thats the way i look at it

^ Your right. and sorry for sounding like an ass but why the **** does everyone think that all of us autos are neutral droping it??? Thats all you guys do is assume, and is it so bad that us autos would like to rev up past 4x?? cause some of are cars sound better past 4x and we would like to be alittle lounder cause are cars sound alittle weak only reving to 4x specially
if your next to a ricer.

sorry, cant do neutral drops in these automatic cars. ive tried, GM put in a safety feature that cust the fuel off to the engine if you have it reved over 1400 to 1600 rpms and then drop it into gear. The computer kills the engine right down to about 700 or 1000 rpms before it will let you rev it back up to try again.

Ya there afraid of the warranty work. Automatic transmissions aren't cheap at all.

sorry bro, but you're saying you want to rev your automatic car to unsafe ranges because "you're next to a ricer"? what does that make you then?

what don't people understand that it's BAD TO REV that high with no load? it's not a hard concept. the rev limiter is there so that idiots don't destry their engine. end of story. there's no way around it.

so no, you cannot remove the limiter

i know its bad to rev up that high with no load i never disagreed, and i understand why the rev limiter is there, but all said and done if it could happen it would be nice. and celicacobalt got his removed and he likes it. But your right its a bad idea and i agree with you 100% unless you had a built motor and still no point to rev that high in an auto.
