Yes, it will fit.. However, if you feel like taking a chance (which I did), and buying headers from eBay, you will notice that the specs on the eBay headers give slightly larger openings for the inlet/outlet, than the bad mab.. Personally I bought headers off eBay from speed_daddy and have no major complaints. I installed them myself, and the longest part was waiting for my car to cool off. Then again, if you do decide to buy there which are $80 cheaper, do NOT use the spacer they provide.. I used their spacer because it had no rust, and my OEM did.. Bad idea. The eBay spacer near the resonator blew out while I had cruise control at 70 mph on the highway. Long story short I had to go to Home Depot and build my own bolts, because 2 of 3 studs holding it together were lost on the road.. Not an expensive fix (~$5) but still..

spacer????? do you mean gasket???? Near the resonator???? Thats near the rear axle so Im assuming you mean the precat or cat depending on which year your car is.

To the op:

Just get the badmab header. They are proven to work and have great bang for the buck. With a stock exhaust you will hear a slightly more aggressive sound. But make sure to order a good downpipe from zzp or cti. Then you will start to feel some gains. Make sure when you buy a downpipe you specify that your car is an auto. Auto cobalts have a different downpipe than any of the manual cobalts and a manual cobalt downpipe will not properly fit an auto car.

No, no .. Yeah the gasket. Not sure why, but when I say the header gasket people flip ****.. Anyway yeah it's at the 3.125" outlet at the (bottom) of the header. The thin metal spacer/gasket. And for $80cheaper I would definitely say it's worth it. Also gives a nice, deep tone!
