I noticed a sound difference. The car seemed to run a little better after.

The only issue I had was after about 4k miles on my aftermarket header, my downpipe gasket (no-cat or resonator) blew 2 of the studs completely off. Too much racecar I guess. Anyway, that's the only issue I really had, and just took the remaining bolt to a True Value Hardware store and patched it all up with 2 new bolts and nuts costing ~$5.00 total. After all that and about 10k miles more, my main header gasket finally blew a couple of weeks ago, and I just got a Genuine GM one to go right back. Debating whether to take my header off and line up the gasket and use a drimmel to bore the collectors to 1.65" or not.

but yeah I have a badmab header on my car, have had it for 20,000K and my car+engine has 140,000KM on it and I have no exploding studs to report of

The header should come off fairly easily. Hell Ive done 3 headers on my 2.4 lol. 2 of them Ive done the header from the top. Ive gotten to the point I can swap the downpipe in 15 minutes using a jack and 2 stands and the header (shorty) in about 10 minutes. lol

Haha i feel you on that one, Ive changed mine about 6 times. The first time I thought it was such a bitch now its like muscle memory.

I wasn't a fan of the bad-mab though, he can't seem to use a jig correctly or just puts so much heat into them every flange just gets warped. I went through two with this problem. Love my ZZP longtubes now tho
