Yeah, Megan was my second choice, however I'm not trying to dish out $300 for it. My friend found a HKS Hi-Power Cat-Back Exhaust for his STi for only $150 on E-bay and they're at a MSRP of $600.

I just want a website or some type of vendor that could provide me any of these exhausts for a decent price.

Hey sick06, you were the one who made the flyby videos for me. I know what it sounds like, and trust me I like it however, I'm trying to find one for a good price.

ARK ftw!!!

I was the first 2.4SS to be flossin' the ARK N2 waaay back in Nov. of '06. Had it on pre-order before they even had it in production, and I looooove it.

Quality is amazing, looks amazing and sounds hella badass.

Just ask anyone at the VA Meets (HickOverLord, Jigyflyuk, HerndonHighSS, 2FASTSS) how badass it sounds (I also have the CA header and XTC 2.5" de-cat downpipe installed as well) and they'll vouch for me.

Don't know about Megan, but people seem to like it. I much prefer the angle of my N2 to the straight exit of the Megan though.

Lucky bastard. I paid like $760 through ARK directly b/c I wanted it FIRST, lol. I should've just waited and saved $200.

This was back in march or april. Prices changed since then. It was directly through ARK too which was nice.

1.2whp gain according to the newest issue of GM High Tech Performance......not exactly a good hp gain.

GMPP = stock 2.25" piping size. A 2.5" system, like the Magnaflow, ARK, Corsa or Megan will net you much better gains.

Um.....how about you go pick up the new issue then and read for yourself. They test it on a Laser Blue 2.4SS sedan. Its 1.2whp gain, not 12. Jesus, a 12whp gain from an exhaust with STOCK size piping would be rediculous. I guarantee my ENTIRE exhaust system (header, de-cat downpipe, cat-back) only gave me 20whp or LESS. Its crank hp gain is obviously bigger, but im talking to the wheels here.

Theres actually a thread on here about this too.......let me find it.....

how about you look at the multiple dynos showing 10-12whp from gmpp catbacks.
heres one of them.
from a guy you might know on here.....jonnyb?

Heres the link:

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/general-cobalt-68/2-4-ss-sedan-project-car-gm-high-tech-magazine-81272/

I just dont see how a 2.25" could give a Cobalt 12whp on a 2.4SS. My friend's STI got barely more than that with his cat-back, and turbo cars respond alot better to bolt-ons. (3" cat-back for the record)

And of course a 2.0SS/SC is gonna have bigger gains w/ a cat-back than a 2.4SS. Its got forced induction. Naturally, a car with forced induction and more power is more restricted by the factory exhaust than a car w/o forced induction with the same factory exhaust. Sure, both cars will gain power by installing a better exhaust, the the 2.0 will have better power gains.

agree ....i got header downpipe w cat catback exhaust, cai and a good tune and all i got out of it was 25-30 whp gain which is good but think about how much it cost to get some good hp

30whp from I/H/DP/E on a 2.4 is pretty decent man.
