Blew my intake manifold on the dyno today, cant make more than 11 psi
Im not sure what exactly failed but i have a loud hissing sound coming from my intake manifold. sprayed the top of the manifold with choke cleaner and it was sucked right thru the top. Anyone know of aftermarket replacement gaskets for the intake manifold or a replacement manifold or why mine failed when i havent known any to fail as far as i know.
Got the 60# injectors in. those are in and tuned fine. Got the 3 inch zzp downpipe on as well. The turbo wastegate on my gt2860rs is fully turned up and maxed out and i can only build 11 psi. I thought i could pull 300whp on a mustang dyno but the best i could pull is: 245 whp and 256 wtq. i hope more after the manifold fix maybe i can make more.
Anyone have any input?

I was planning on making the 300whp with 13-14 psi. The boost testing done shows 13 psi before the intercooler and 11 psi after the intercooler. That seems to be within limits of efficiency but i thought my turbo had alot more left in it to be maxed out so soon. No boost leaks can be found other than my intake manifold gasket it seems but im not sure until we get it off. I dont think the leaky manifold is stopping the psi though so i have no clue why the boost isnt there with the current turbo.
What am i suppossed to do then? if i put stock gaskets back in then would the same issue arise again later on?

you ignored your laptop going danger to the manifold didnt you? At least your floored stayed in. Sorry. You had to expect that. So you blew an intake mani gasket i take it? Odd.

IF it's the same mustang dyno where he had his pulls and tuning done before, it's not unrealistic. Not sure what the inputs are they give it, but that shop's mustang dyno puts down numbers that you'd normally see on a dynojet.

buwhahaha.
14psi on a 30lb/min a compressor.....and you think you'll hit 300.
not a chance in hell.
heres how the numbers line up thus far.
your at a PR of about ~1.5 (a bit less then)
that PR at a MAX flow on a 28RS is about 30lb/min (428CFM) that airflow supports about 285hp.
factor in you smaller boost numbers and drive train loss, and your left with your 250ish mark.
time to open your eyes if you want 300.
as for your intake manifold, did it blow or was it the gasket?
the manifold its self has been tested, validated, and used at MUCH higher boost numbers.

has anyone we know on here used the manifold with success?

i had the same thing going on it turned out to be one of my injectors the oring was shot .. when i fixed it the noise went away ,, but b4 that i swapped out my intake manifolds and keep hearing it that finally found it was the ijectors

too early to tell exactly what part of the manifold is blown. im hoping its just a gasket, but then again if i put another stock gasket in what will the outcome be? Also on the turbo i have now i thought it was good to support 320hp from garretts site? Im still learning too but i thought if a turbo was good to 320 then it shouls make 300whp. oh well.

and what the turbo is good for relies on proper PR and set up.
if you want 300+ on such a small turbo, your gonna have to crank the boost to get the air flow.
