Boost on LE5 how do you wire the map sensor? which map to use?

When using a Supercharger or a turbo kit on LE5 2.4L

do you replace the map sensor for another one?

do you still use the OEM MAF?

we installed a 2.0 LSJ SC on a 2.4L, and before starting here I need some info

thanks a lot guys

I've been running a stock map sensor on my car. At the track my car bogs if I give it to much gas right at launch so I have to ease into it. I'm getting a 2 bar map off the lsj and it should fix that with proper tuning.

LSJ is a 2.5 bar map and records IAT's.

There 2 MAPs on the LSJ. You have the 2 bar on the supercharger, otherwise known as the SCIP sensor and the 2.5bar (real MAP) on the intake manifold.

You can actually use any of those in your intake manifold on the non-LSJ. I ended up using the 2.5 bar map and converted to read IAT2's as well.

ok tonight I wired the 2.5 Tmap, wiring the MAF IAT -> Tmap IAT

IAT and map are working

now I need to made the calibration file work with the 60 lbs injectors

I resized some tables, but there are some I not sure

is it possible to find a guide lines, or a base map to see what should be resize?

thanks another time for your help

So you had 11 PSI and 258 whp? What other mods did you have? Just asking as I have 15lbs of boost. Going to dyno once clutch is installed this week.

Vince @ Trifecta did all of my tuning so I don't know what he changed.

bout time i chime in since i'm in the midst of doing this... and i'm confused as F*#! about the map wiring part.

i'm using the 2.5bar map on the lsj. looking at beck's how to, there are two wires i need to splice into and run to somewhere else. what two do i need to splice into on the map pigtail on the injector harness and where do i run them to?

sorry, i get confused easily from wiring diagrams (yes i realize it's a small one ) sad i know...

I'm at this point as well and don't know much about wiring in the first place. Did you end up figuring this out? I'm an LE5 trying to install the LSJ 2.5 bar MAP.

If you are supercharged you are using the one on the intake manifold, not the blower. The connector you will need is ACDELCO Part # PT1863 MAP CONNECTOR for 39.99 on rockauto, its a 4 wire connector. Most people on here recommend using the after blower temp for your IAT reading, thats not how I've ever done it on any supercharged setup ive worked with. I always use the intake air temp coming in before the blower to allow for environmental changes which is how the 2.4 is programmed from the factory. This way you still get the same scaling for fueling from winter to summer. It is important to monitor those post blower temps however which is why im using a PLX multi gauge and have it wired to the IAT on the map.

This is the multi gauge setup. Although only using 1 gauge.
