Did ur car come with forged internals? Cause im about to go with meth on my car with SC and im hoping to get to 270-280whp and wanna see if anyone else has non forged internals and is running that close to the limit on a 2.4

Manny we really don't know if our cars have forged internals. You might have forged internals. Only some 08sports came without them.

Bingo, honestly for 1,000 dollars it pays to get aftermarket ones just to be safe. These gen II blocks are beastly but they skimped us on the internals. 300whp on a m62 2.4 build seems kind of tuff thats why i went with the TVS


I also heard a guy put a TVS on a 2.4 sedan and wanted to drop the pulley after tuning her in Houston with the stocker . Needless to say he melted all 4 pistons when he dropped it

Ya I know that only some of us came with forged internals... But I wanted to see if Cherry has forged internals cause that would explain why his car is running great at 275whp but if not then im glad cause like I said I dynoed at 251whp and 254tq I was running a lil rich... so I could of pushed it a lil more but my tuner didnt. but now im going meth so wanted to see how our cars handle 275whp.

Yeah from my understanding and talking to some other guys who have been running the m62 on a auto for awhile all have 06/07s. I think its safe to say 08's are not forged , i was pushing 267whp on a mustang dyno which is a easy 300+ on a dyno jet. New block is pushing way more thanks to properly routed cooling system, tune, and polished manifold. I boost less now and make more power.

I'm more worried about the tranny then blowing the bottom end. High speed kills these cars

Well i think i figured out what my car has been acting so sluggish, need to clean the intake filter very badly....

Oh my man.... I just got a new one this week my filter was so filthy! it runs so much better and it doesnt idle as rough

That's why I'm gonna at least do the bottom end. After that I don't know what to do. Supercharger or turbo. Or maybe N/A with nitrous.

u dont need to upgrade the bottom end if ur gonna go with full boltons and a 2.9 pulley that put me at 251whp and there are no issues...

That is why... if I deploy I will come back and buy a balt TC nd give my car to my lil sister haha. But if I dont then I will upgrade the engine and stuff.
