Built 2.4?

Built 2.4?
ok so i am currently SC'd. i have a 08 g5 gt. i havent dropped my oil pan to see if i do luckily have the forged rods or not. so i have kept it on a 3.0" pulley. in the summer i plan on selling the SC and using the money to buy a spare engine and building it to drop into my car by next spring/summer. i want some opinions on which route to take as far as which parts, the biggest promblem seems to be finding rods. i was going to go with ZZPs but they are no longer listed on their site, only for the LSJ. i will build it then get the ZZP TC kit (stage 2 prob w/ 80#inj) and run E85 is my ultimate goal. so here are my questions:
1. what do you recommend for rods? (i know of pauter and zzp possibly)
2. Do i need to buy a 08 engine or can i throw in any year?
3. Do i need to get my block resleeved? my power goals are possibly around 400whp
any opinions are welcome, thank you

Im pretty sure you will be making more power right now sc'd then building it, + building it will cost more and yield less power then boosted. Why are you not happy with the current m62 setup? Get that 2nd heat exchanger and drop a pulley.
Keep in mind this is your only car/daily.

I just looked and the zzp rods are still posted on their site. I'm assuming you might go turbo if your wanting to do an engine build after selling a m62 setup.
x2 for knowing if you need to be sleeved or not for 400whp???

Lol yall are ridiculous. And ya I found the zzp rods. If I built the engine and dropped a few pulleys I do not think I coul be close to where I could be work a turbo. I know that one guy hit 400 on the m62 but still, that is the only one. I do change my mind a lot but im feeling pretty good about this. I found a engine locally for 500 bucks with like 80k I think on it. That seems to be about the going rate. I just don't see the benefit of running a sc at over 320-350, since it is belt driven. It is still all an idea nothing will happen until summer possibly anyways.
