CEL code questions..
Hey guys,
After fixing my previous CEL issue, I was quite excited to've accomplished that. But a few days later, another 2 CEL's popped up. Here they are:
P0301 cylinder 1 misfire
and
P1171 manual control fuel air mixture (something like that)
Any idea why I have these going on and/or how to correct them? Would the cylinder 1 just need a simple pull of the plug and a re-gapping? Then the second one, I have no idea.
Any help would be awesome..
Thanks!!

the misfire cyl 1 could be a number of things...firstly, I would switch coil packs with a different cylinder....if the code comes back and moves with the coil pack....theres your problem. if the code still stays with cyl. 1, i would then replace the spark plug....if it still comes back to cyl 1, then you have a bad injector, or an internal engine issue. CHeck the compression on cyl 1 if you get to the point of pulling the spark plug if possible. ALso check the color of the plug when/if you pull it out...
The P1171 is a GM specific code, maybe someone else can chime in on that, I'm a chrysler tech.

P0171 is a lean code witch could be caused by the P0301. as for fixing the P0301, I would try and re gapping, and if that doesn't work then swap the coils and then get back to us. Also disconnect the battery each time you make a change.
