You're right about that. I don't even have full bolt ons (still have stock header/downpipe) and I broke into the 14s.......and personally, I still think I can improve on that time.

all i can say is elevation but kill the 2.4L. I make 159whp (stock) and run 15.1 @ 93.8 mph (mods in sig) so bolt-ons and a tune should get you in the low to mid 14s easy..... at least me.

That's really good mph for a stock 2.4L. Most stock ones are in the 88-90 mph range. Almost 94 mph is usually what 170+ whp cars get.

yeah i am the freak in stock trap speeds. b/c the guy that ran 14.9 in a stock cobalt was only trapping like 90-92 mph

I bought the motor mount Kit from Jegs.. My truck Had a stock 4.3.. So the 4L60E trans bolts right up, and I used a L05 block that was bored .030, Ported Vortec heads, full rollers with a 270 lift .500 duration cam so I can run a modified TBI with 65lb injectors, MSD Blaster Ignition, and more bolt ons than I can think of..lol.. but all and all its a good running S10.. I dont have any numbers on it, but I hope to soon..

A side note is that the Cobalt can beat the S-10 out of the hole to about a 200ft mark from a stop light..

Hey guys how restrictive is the stock resonator?? I know a resonator is like a glasspack, and its purpose is to deaden the the sound in the cabin, but the stocker is about 24" long.. would there be and advantage of putting a 14" Vibrant resonator on there?
