Thank you for breaking it down. I'm sure it will make more sense once I actually get my hands around that part of the car but your explanation helps a lot. So you mean to use a stock h/e and a (possibly) aftermarket intercooler would be the best combo?

if my zzp s3 heat exchanger didn't have bent fins and such i'd be willing to do a trade for that stock h/e lol
I'd say just put the stock h/e in front of the radiator. As far as fans or stuff like that you can bend the tubes a little to make them easier to adjust. Just don't do it too much because they do break.

I think I'm understanding it now, looked up a few pics on google of how the setup works. Guess I could've done that sooner.... D'oh! So LSJ rad fan + stock h/e + intercooler + LE5 radiator makes up the sandwich in the front?

So is this front mount deal difficult to configure or should I be able to easily find a How-to somewhere out there? Just wanna know for when I get to that bridge and feel like crossing it. At least knowing I have everything I need, big relief.

Our LE5's, stock injector harness has EV6 styled connections where the injectors attach. So if you have an LSJ harness, that's EV1 style, so just make sure your injectors plug in happy and work correctly.
If they don't work together, ZZP sells harnesses for like $25

lsj pan is 6.5q le5 pan is 5q.
You dont need to run both a front mount and the stock heat exchanger. I originally was going to do this because my cooling didnt seem adequate enough, however the real problem was just air in the system that i had to bleed.
I'm only running a front mount intercooler and i rarely see temps above 125 in the summer

i wouldnt be too worried about that small tear but i would just make sure the shock for the tensioner is working and has the ability to keep the slack out of the belt once its on the car. Ive never tried to pull the shock apart so i dont know how it fits together or if its designed to come apart, I do know they can sometimes start to leak hydraulic fluid (from that rubber boot) and they dont work properly

Well I mentioned it to him and he said the assembly he sent me was brand new from the GM dealership and that the damage is more than likely from shipping. :-/ Gotta love my luck.
As you can see, I was able to slip the shock back over the other piece but it's not the snuggest fit and I imagine this is also because of it being shifted around during the shipping process.
Looks like I'm in the market for another of these darn things.

Just getting a few pointers as to what I might have left to obtain for this project. Went ahead and slapped on the newER polished oil pan today since it's much much cleaner than the one I mistakenly took off thinking i'd replace it with the LSJ pan. Once it's off the jacks and I put some synth back in her, the assembly will finally BEGIN!

Help!
I seem to be having an issue fitting the LSJ intake manifold down into my car because it seems the A/C condenser line is MASSIVELY in the way. I have tried to move it but it won't budge. It is tightly secured on both sides of the area with no obvious shine of being able to disconnect it. Pictures below show first the obstruction view, then the connections on both sides, and finally the last pic shows something (not sure what it is) that resides right underneath where the intake manifold is supposed to go and since I know that my intercooler pump needs to be swapped out for this build I'm wondering if the "under the manifold" stuff should be done BEFORE installation of the manifold.
Sorry if I seem jumbled, I'm kind of a maniac about this right now.
If anyone can shine some light on what I need to do in this situation, that would be awesome!
