Im going to order a AEM Dryflow Filter, what size do I need, my K&N is 2.5" so should I get a 2.5" or a 3.0" one?

+1 on the maf sensor cleaner. love it.
It also claims 4-7hp gained from a clean maf to a dirty one.

Damnit. I just went and bought oil, a filter, a can of sea foam and some engine flush to clean my balt out tomorrow and i didn't even think about maf sensor cleaner or cleaning my air filter. +rep for reminding me.

Its a good idea to check your filter at every oil change.
If you have the time, take it off and give it some good taps to shake away as much loose particulate as possible.

Chances are you wont need to clean it that often.
Maybe once or twice a year.
but it depends on where you drive, gravel roads, how many clicks you put on etc etc.

You will visibly be able to see when its time to give it a clean.

you cant just blow it out with a air gun like you know air compresor air just blow the dust off unless you got it wet and its like muddy or something i dont nkow.

that works in a pinch. but it doesnt get it all off.

I pulled mine out once and did that, but it still kinda looked a bit dirty after i was done. so i washed it
and the water was filthy when i was done.

yeah that works i didnt think of that just didnt want to damage it. i guess run some tap water through it i dont know about soap though. and rinse it really good and let it air dry would probly be best

I would suggest buying the AEM cleaning kit.
or the K&N, which ever one you have.

Also remember, you can only wash aftermarket reusable filters!
not your stock one, or other paper type filters.

you mean like the gmpp one they send with the tubing and stuff i think its paper i figured you could either blow it off mine doesne get wet so thats good. but the water thing might wreck it i dont know.

thats for the sc right since it goes in the fender but ive seen some 2.4s with the intake in the fender just the opposite side of sc one. thats like right down there to.
