The Pace Setter shown in the link has the O2 bung on just one cylinder, which is not going to give your computer an accurate reading
Our's is in the collector as it should be Also our secondary 02 bung is located behind our high flow converter, while the competition has their 02 bung in front of their cat, again, not going to give you an accurate reading.
Looks nice, but is there any science behind it? For one thing, it does not look like the tubes are equal length. Second, your comment about other headers being configured wrong...Going back to the '60's, at least, from companies like Alfa Romeo, tri-y headers for a 4-cylinder configure cylinders 1 and 4 to one Y, and 2 and 3 to the other, based on the 1-3-4-2 firing order. At low speed, the second Y acts as the scavenge when adjacent (in the firing order) power pulses scavenge each other. At higher speeds. when the pulses are closer together, the first pair of Y's scavenge cylinders that fire 2 apart.

So, what's the science behind your set-up, which goes against a hundred years of convention?

i am also curious. It actually looks like the tubes for the cylinders that would fire first are a little longer, so both pulses would get there at the same time, or very close to it. I would think thats exactly what you dont want. Im sure you know more about it than me and wouldnt go through all that trouble to make it this way for nothing when the other way would be easier, but at the same time why would everyone else be doing it wrong? was there any testing or theory behind pairing them this way? I really want to beleive this ways right because right now this is the best looking header on the market. looking forward to pics of the downpipe.

Edit: after doing some research on teh net I found one header for nissans that pairs 1 with 2 and 3 with 4, which I think, would in effect be similar to this header. they claimed it creates more top end, but to me that seems to defeat the idea of a tri y, so Im still confused.

Will this header be available w/ a de-cat downpipe as well? Im interested in the header by far, but if the downpipe it includes has a cat, then id just rather stick w/ my current setup.

And now the DP with cat!

Yes we can do an 'off road only" cat delete DP, no problem

no dyno #s yet but track will do fine right? in pretty humid warm weather i went from an 11.12 @96 to a 11.03 @ 96 in the 1000'. so .09 i dont think is too bad in pretty crummy weather. you will see my slip soon on the 1/8 mile list.

I just checked Clear Image Automotive's website........I can't find the long tube....only the shorty header. Where can I go about possibly buying this header in the future. My friend just put an F2 long tube stepped header on his '07 Focus and its AMAZING!
