Cooling the engine

What are the best items to use to keep the engine cool and what are the best brands? Right now I have a injen CAI.

Hood scoop. Of course a CF or FB hood with one not just a stick on one.

coolant temps? or cooling the intake charge?

as far as coolant temps, water wetter has always worked like a champ for me. in my BMW, i ran just water wetter and distilled water for a long time. kept that hot running m10 cool.

as far as intake... that's about all one can do, other than maybe meth injection. or taking apart the head and coating the intake runners.

no not needed on ur 2.4...just ur injen cai is the best thing for coolin the car down...the ecotecs do get hott.

Yea, even with the intake I see the collant around 196 usually.

which is normal...

while turboed, im seeing 230+ when i get done with the burnout/1/4 mile.

Also, what about items that cool the tranny? Cause I have an auto tranny. I thought I saw a thread with this stuff earlier today but I can't find it now.

they do make trans coolers. basically, on most auto cars, there is a line where the ATF passes through the rad for some cooling. the after market coolers take the place of that, but have a lot more cooling ability.

no but it wouldnt hurt to buy one anyway....the stock tranny cooler doesnt work that well get one off ebay for about 10-60 bucks depending on wat u like

i mean if ur gonna up the stages on that kit..yes i would. i logged my car before and after the cooler....total difference. when doing WOT runs before tranny got really hot and had some slippage...after tranny cooler made tranny go up like 2* and no slip..it was a good 50dolllar mod
