Dual exhaust?

i like your setup, but even with it the exhaust on the passenger side needs to travel a longer distance than the driver side one, so you can have an imballance in velocity of each pipe, do you have anything welded inside the "Junction" to make sure each exit pipe is geting the same flow rate? or is it just two pipes?
When your are idling, do you notice a difference in the flow rate of each exit? Like is your drivers side exit noticeably faster/slower/more exhaust than the passenger side ?
PS. You definitly put some sweet lovin' on dem tires, nicely done sir!
eidt: The more i think about it, the way to do it right, like to get the best of both worlds, the nice look of dual exhaust without the preformance losss. would be to just have a single exhaust as per stock, and literally have the passenger side exhaust not connected/non functional. It would be fake and cheasy, but you could have your cake and eat it to ya'know?

for boost or NA, one pipe will give you the best flow, with out dangerous turbulence.
This thread got me thinkin! If you want to have your cake and eat it too, IE no preformance lost + looks of dual exhaust...
then just make the passenger side exhuast hang there/not connected to your exhaust manifold.
the second you have more than one exit per exhaust manifold, your losin' power

that reason is due to the, imballance of exhaust velocity in your pipes. In all practical sense, its impossible to get an aftermarket dual exhaust for a 4 cylinder, that is 100% functional with no power loss, with out some serious engineering/math crunchin'

when i was budgetting for my exhaust last year, i strongly considered the dual exhaust route. They definitely look more bad ass then a single, but when i was researching into it; i realized they only look more bad ass because they are meant for a bigger engine, and since im part of the sleeper car culture; sacrificing ANY performance for cosmetic is blashphemy!
Now when ever i see a 4 cylinder with a dual exhaust at a car meet/parking lot etc. i get super curious and ask to look underneath to see how they pulled it off. If its aftermarket, its usually done "incorectly" so there is turbulence.
Cars like the S2000 and some golf GTI / TDI do it proper, because its engineered and people who are paid alot of money did the math on it. and from what i've seen, they are basically a single exhaust and a "Y" or "T" shaped muffler, so when the exhaust gets slowed down by the muffler's sound dampening/baffling the velocity is a non issue anyway, so it doesnt even matter if its a single/dual exit, as the noise suppression slowed the gasses down enough that their is next to none/negligible preformance loss.
This thread and another one, is making me DAMN tempted to skim a few hundred bucks off my ZZP girdled block fund to re-do my exhaust!
DAMN YOU EXHAUST RELATED THREADS TEMPTING ME AWAY FROM A BULLET PROOF ENGINE!!!! DAMN YOU TO HELL!!!!

Yea my old v6 grand am gt had a muffler at the end then had two small pipes to make it look like dual exhaust. I wanted to do something like that but I think ill just remove my second pipe and just keep it single lol

Update to this
Was behind a LNF solstice a few days, GXP trim. It had a dual outlet muffler, and I know the LNF has one exhaust manifold,
Saw a 2.4 solstice today, and it only had a single outlet.
I know the LE5/LSJ flanges play nice, not 100% sure on LNF/LE5 exhaust interchangeability, but I'm sure any local exhaust shop with a welder could connect the dualie solstice GXP muffler to a LE5.
Can't say the math/engineering would be perfect for exhaust turbulence; but it would probably be pretty close with a tune, since the dual GXP muffler + baffling would create a mostly equal driver / passenger exhaust flow.
But yea, my .02 cents on this

Well. Closed cutout (exhaust going to both tips) I made 375 whp
Cutout open ( exhaust dumping precat) I made 403whp
Now that could just b due to a restrictive exhaust n the fact that dumping the exhaust as soon as possible is beneficial to a turbo lol

Yea was awesome to see those numbers lol
Was Dyno tuned with the cutout closed hit 375 I was happy as ****
Asked my tuner to do one more run with the cutout open, when he finished the pull
He looked over at the screen n his jaw dropped lol, was def unexpected
Was def a pleasent surprise
