E85 vs Meth
Well it looks like 14* is all I can get for timing on 93 octane. I'm currently debating on e85 which is sold next to my house as well as my work. Or just stick with meth. Ideas? Opinions?

Methanol is more convenient then ethanol for daily driving if you go on long trips. Ethanol is safer all around if tuned for it as you have the supporting mods to run it. Methanol vs ethanol on power differences is quite a bit. Mainly midrange. With methanol it's harder to get more midrange timing unless your running a large enough nozzle. So ethanol is better but is less available. Methanol is avialable but needs high maintainer or you'll blow your ****

I love e, but yeah if you do long trips it's very very bad, you may not have a station in range. And if a station decides to drop it, be prepared to retune and have a backup plan.

This in a nutnshell. And don't go by "it's sold near......." I used to have a station 4 blocks from work. They ditched e85 for biodiesel. Bye bye work station. Then one time I forgot to fill up after work, drove the car way past my comfort zone, rolled in with a 17 mile range to empty only to find they were out of e85.

Im on e47 and running a 7gph meth nozzel. Thought about ditching the meth and going full e but idk I have a a different vehicle that I take on trips. What kind of maintenance does a meth kit need?

now that i had my meth line pop out of the injector, i check it every few days (just gotta pop the hood and look, easy as that). other than that, i just make sure the pump activates when turn my car on, but i have an LED that lets me know that, so not much maintenance really other than keeping the tank filled

Only thing thats stopping me is that only 1 station carries it next to my house. And 2 near my work. I work 40 miles from home. No stations between. Do stations really just "run out" sometimes?

Stations could run out of anything...just depends on manager/owner forgets or is super busy and sells out

Me and James have been working on my tune and i'll be running a blend very soon.

ive had stations randomly run out but its not often...i ran meth for awhile and then switched to e85 and noticed a dramatic difference...if thers stations close and ur not driving all over hell and back then i d say swap to e85

E85 doesn't fail and pops a piston like Meth Kits tend to.
E85 is ******* win all around.
I've been told if your on E85 and can't find a station, you CAN (SHOULDN'T), but CAN run 93 oct and limp it to the nearest station with E85, JUST NO WOT, and no high rpm. LOL
