i don't know why it won't start... but it should have just gone intom reduced engine power mode (limp mode) it should have stayed on, and it should have just had limited power. So i don't know what you did.

What does the car do when you turn the key?

I had it happen several times when I had a sensor unplugged it freaked out and went into power reduction mode. I unhooked the battery and reconnected and it worked fine again after.

It still doesnt take care of what ever set off that error though. Usually its something so bad that the ECM gave up!

Like I said I had a critical sensor unhooked so it freaked.

i don't see how touching the battery cables together does anything, but whatever. if your car is under warrenty the dealer should fix it for you and be done with

Touching the cables together drains the capacitors in the computers holding power for the memory.

Once drained everything is reset!

It depends on what it did to cause the error!

The engine has a fuel shut off to prevent over revving.

I have personally missed a redline shift from 3-4 and went 3-2 and ran it up over 7500RPM and it survived!

It was not cheap, in the end I have over $6k into the kit and all the supporting mods.
Overall I am very happy with how it turned out!
It runs very well!

you could get the used supercharger and parts from an SS/SC they will bolt on then get a custom tune. That would be about half the cost for everything that you will need.

The turbo will give you a fair amount more over the supercharger, but either way will get you a lot closer!
