So i dont know awhole lot about exhaust in general...so ill start off with this

im looking at getting a 2.5' gutted DP with 2.5" Header, now what im wondering is shoul i go straight cut off exhaust? or knock out the "honey comb" in my cat? or just hook it up to stock exhaust? if so what is the size of stock exhaust? i want to keep it all 2.5 correct??

But if your looking for exhuast to buy then I'd say get the GMPP Sport Exhaust.

 

Are you looking to buy a new downpipe? Or gut your stock one?

You can get new DP without cats welded in, also ZZP & Cobalt-addiction both offer headers. The stock exhaust is 2.5" until just before the axle then it bottlenecks to 2"

I am going to purchase (hopefully) a already gutted 2.5' CA DP, and going to purchase a header (Not sure what kind)

ok so the exhaust should be fine to hook rite up to the DP and give good flow correct?

 

one problem with the stock exhuast is the weld just before the back axle, it constricts down to 2.25"...


but to answer your question yes, a new 2.5" DP will bolt up to the stock exhaust.

not a problem... just so you know, if you replace your header & DP its going to get LOUD

 

itll go perfect with my intake im looking for loud not raspy tho..and im looking at making it dual exhaust

 

my car got really loud tho, and i even have a cat installed
