Exhaust Note

alright i just cut off my cats a week ago because they where clogged the thing is that now my exhaust sounds like there is a massive fart cannon on it. I wanted to know what i should do to get a nice deep tone.
1. cut off the muffler and replace with pipe
2. Replace muffler with a aftermarket one
3. cut off resonator
or what ever else you guys think will make it sound better

If you want to go the easiest way I would suggest just getting a new cat welded in. The N/A Cobalts don't really sound that great catless, turbo'd they sound great.
