Ya. It sounds ok for being NA but I won't have it that must longer because I'm getting a turbo kit.

Lucky you, I'd love a turbo if I could ever use it.

Where I lived previously, which was on the opposite side of the country, they did no visual. Plug in, and if you had no codes you passed emissions. I ran it through with no cat. If anybody cared they sure didn't show it.

Every jurisdiction is different.

Why wouldn't you be able to use it? You don't have a drag strip?

Not anywhere close enough to go to frequently.

Yes now I'm getting a stage 2 SC kit. Originally I was going to get a stage 2/3 turbo kit.

The SC kit with an upgraded exhaust system and tune should get me around 240.

Well you have to have a tune if you sc it lol. But getting a smaller pulley and bigger injectors will get you there.

Every time I get set on this SC idea, I get upset that its not a turbo. I would never be able to make use of the turbo but yet I want it more....go figure.

Ya you can use it. What do you mean you can't?

And don't do something if you know you're not going to be happy with it. Get what you really want.

Well the problem with the turbo is its alot more. Plus I need new internals because the stock ones only hold up to about 300 bhp and the stage 3 kit gets me around 315.

Then just get a stage 2 turbo kit then. And that's true. The 2008 internals aren't as strong as the 2006-07 Mine are good for 300whp

The difference in price is like $300

Zzp suggest that 08 models don't go passed 260whp without upgrading the pistons and rods.

Most of the price is coming from the optional instillation and tuning. If I drop that I save 1 grand but I don't know any tuning shops around me.

You don't need a shop. Just find a local tuner.
And the difference is still only a few 100.

It's actually about the same for you because it says for a 08 add 130. It will cost you about 2,905+ shipping for the stage 2 sc kit. And I'm going to be paying 3,078 shipped for the stage 2 turbo kit. So the difference is pretty small.

If you have stock cat back and get a chatted downpipe, the sound won't change a lot,
Mine didn't change at all even with a 3inch catless downpipe, and on boost. At idle and wit the car didn't even make a sound.
On the other hand if you add a supercharger might create some sound. But stock cat back does a pretty good job keeping the noise down lol
And i was in the same boat man lol I was first going for supercharger, but for some reason ended up turbo lol. Still wondering what would have been if I would have gone sc
