Exhaust Video Coming Soon!!!!!

My friends ARK N2 cat-back exhaust just came in today. After work we'll get it, take tons of pics and video. Then install it. Take a million more pics and video.

Many say this is the best sounding exhaust on the Cobalt, so we'll have to see. Were expecting good things! Expect the video sometime around 2-3 am.

Exhaust is on. For the most part everything fit great! The front two bolts didn't exactly want to slide in to place but not a big deal. The big issue was with the muffler it self. Between the angle it sits at and the fact that it is massive, meant that we have to cut the lower plastic mesh grill. Not much had to be removed, just the lip from the angled part down. We didn't take any pictures during install or before because we were far to anxious haha. Around all the gaskets we used Ultra Cooper to insure a good seal and that there would be no exhaust leaks later. The biggest pain in the ass of the night was the rear Progress sway bar. The drivers side holes were just not lining up. It came to the point where we could just get it started and we went with that and it just happens that it didn't cross thread. Well, the videos will be coming later when we get back from joy riding. lol

odd, my N2 fit fine on my 2.4SS. No cutting or anything required. Fits like a damn glove actually. Since it angles up and to the left it just barely cleared the black plastic at the bottom of the bumper. The tip still has a little bit of room to move around and the canister itself is like a 100% exact fit.

I guess you could say im somewhat dissapointed than another 2.4 FINALLY got the N2 b/c i've been the only 2.4SS rocking that cat-back since it was released, as I was pre-order customer #1 (I actually had spoken w/ an ARK rep months before it was released to ensure I got it first.......only second to the tester car, lol) and the exhaust has been on since November. But on the other hand, I think its good that the 2.4 crowd has heeded notice of this exhaust.

I don't have any videos of the exhaust as I find them pointless b/c exhaust videos all come out sounding the same. However, I will tell you that my SS is probally the loudest i've ever heard in person to this day, b/c along with the ARK N2 I also have the CA header and the XTC 2.5" de-cat downipe, which makes for a very aggressive exhaust note.

Tell your friend to enjoy it and good luck!

Meh...doesn't matter to me, it builds interest

I wouldn't be ragging on the OP, at least he is taking the time to record, host, and post an exhaust video, something that you rarely see around the 2.4 section.

Once it goes up, he's got some +rep coming from me

haha hey wheres my rep!?! I helped answer your questions about it via PM, and I was the forerunner and pioneer for this cat-back for the 2.4SS since day 1!

lol, I don't really care about rep man, I was just making sure I hold my credibility for being the 1st 2.4SS period to run this cat-back. 8 months and it still problem free w/ my N2!

Funny you should say that, because as I was writing you a PM back about ten minutes ago, I was looking for a +rep button on the PM, and there wasn't But seriously, I'll just +Rep your post here, because you were very helpful with all the info you gave me

Sorry guys, a small delay! We finished up around 11 last night and went for a ride only to discover it was starting to rain! So getting any worthy video safely was out of the option. My friend went to a party in PA and he'll be back Saturday afternoon. Expect the video then!

Again sorry for the continued delay!
