Good to hear. Definitely would like to see a dyno of your car. Are you on the stock zzp stage 1 pulley? And have you and zzp figured out why your bouncing off the limiter between gears? (though I can occassionally catch my car off gaurd and do this going from 1st to 2nd with my auto)

Stock 3.4 ZZP pulley. Steve figures my PCM somehow kept the factory 6750rpm oil temp cutout, my core return is going to be retuned and then sent back to me and that should be that. Very annoying when it kicks in (or out, depending on semantics) but better than my old Spec-V 6spd 2-3 grind.

Only the auto cars warn of low traction, I take it... cause I've never seen that in mine.

either fuel cut is placed at shift point (should be a few hundred RPM after), or the rpm's rise so fast that it actually passes the shift rpm, begins the shift, reaches the fuel cutoff (cue noise), then completes shift and rpm lowers. the latter was the case with me, only on 1-2 shifts though. Simple fix is increase shift speed/pressure or raise fuel cutoff rpm another 100rpm

ZZPerformance just shipped the updated PCM today, that should fix my shifting issue. Good stuff!

Interesting, I went to start the car today and I've got a power steering flashing on the DIC and all but the coolant temp are showing dashes as I scroll through. No mileage, avg. fuel consumption, avg. speed, its all gone.

Steering feels heavy, as I test drove it to see just wtf was going on...seems like it is loath to up shift.

Going to pull the negative on the battery later and try again...sigh.

If you have a local tuner that would really be the best route to go with no offense meant to zzp.

Yeah...I'm at the point where I'm going to ask ZZP for a discount on the HPTuners, as they sell it.

Checked the 60amp fuse for the power steering, it is good. damn!

Im a fan of zzp. But when I get ready to do the supercharger for my car I will have our local tuner standing by.

Good idea Cordia, guess I took the term 'kit' a little too literal...it will get you 85-90% of the way there.

She's pooched, one bad PCM that ZZP needs to do some diagnostics on for sure as according to my research all these newest problems of today are PCM related. No matter, a new one was mailed to me last week and should be arriving shortly. Gawd let it be done with there and then.

Interesting, the shift lock on my tranny (the one that disengages when you press the brakes to shift out of park) is now clicking every time I brake...I keep my right hand on the shift lever and can hear and feel it every time. Its like the pcm has a gremlin in it, changing values and wiping data. I had a suspicion when it wouldn't start for as long as it did, and the fact that it was flashed with the same code used in their test mules and yet shifted differently in mine that something wasn't quite 100%. Code is code, if a value is set at 7k and flashes into the pcm as 6750, somewhere within is a bad sector/corrupted eprom addy or whatever.

Alright, moment of truth coming. Got our old pcm/tcm back with the new tune, hopefully the car likes its old computers.

*Crosses fingers*

Sweet, runs like a top. Shifts properly, even sounds nicer.

Tomorrow I'll go get the crank relearn and put this whole thing behind me

I'm glad it's running better for you. These ECMs can be a pain at times.

Sweet throw up a new video! Im interested to see how it runs! Ive been wanting to do this but the current debate over the 08 rods has me thinking about just staying with a larger pulley so I want to see how yours runs on the larger pulley (I was thinking of going 2.8)

Git'er done Navy Man...brave of you to guinea pig the stage 2, I deliberately stayed away to let them teethe the bugs out and I'll upgrade once I hear some positives.

I'm lazy, still haven't gone to clear my crank code. I've got winter tires on now by law and that takes the fun out of driving as I can light these puppies up at almost 50mph, not meant for performance.

Had a couple drives, the tune is much better. How much better I can't say as the weather has been wet, cold, snowy and downright unbecoming to having a bit of fun.

New vids are on the menu Cordia, I'll post them here after the storm clears and I'm able to do some highway merges @ WOT.
