gmpp intake filter maintenance
so ive got the gmpp intake on my 2.4 and ive had it on since about january. i cleaned my engine today and noticed it was a little dirty. ive heard of cleaning the filters with soap and water, ive also heard of special cleaning kits to clean filters, and then i wondered well can i just buy a different cone filter and slap it on there? what is the best thing to do? would i have to buy a gm filter or would an aftermarket brand filter fit up to it?

It's a paper filter. When it gets dirty you will have to replace it. Mine is getting pretty dirty too and I want to replace it with a AEM Dryflow. I am waiting for someone to figure out which size will fit because of the offset base.

Air filter is 10k i think. Not really used to dealing with paper filters though. I want a filter i can wash.
AEM DRYFLOW part number 21-203D 3.00" X 5" fits like a glove even w/o that funky offset. Just slapped on on my balt. Filter cost me 45 bucks and is definantly giving some improvement in throttle responce im not claiming a mirical but its an improvement over Big Red.
