Also thank you for restating what I said 3 posts up back to me about the warranty. Also as slowswap said if they really want to be dicks about it they could turn you away.
yeah but i kinda know some of the people at west herr where i got mine, because of my grandma lol and the fact that my grandfather used to work for GM

i know this is off topic but this is for the guy with the 2.2 that wanted to buy a 2.4 intake. i just got the injen installed today and i just wanted to tell you, and all others that if your car has SAI you are not doomed. i rigged up my own custom setup, threw the intake on, and after took the SAI line and went to autozone and got breather filter. it was the one that you just push in. 1-1.5" compatibility and it slips right into the SAI not loose or anything. and then just secured it against the stock airbox screw (the one thats closer to the passenger side) with a standard 8" zip tie. works like a charm. you just have to make sure that you don't get too close to the alternator pulley with the SAI hardline. and voila. you have a sexy intake and a decent looking breather filter.

so not all hope is lost!

oh and with the right tools a install should take no more than a half an hour. and thats if you are severely mechanically retarded. took us an hour because we had a screwdriver that didn't hold the bit and we didn't have a torx wrench so had to literally RIP the stock airbox out. lol

hope this helped!

well i would say that there is a difference b/c K&N wouldn't make to different part numbered items if there wasn't some sort of difference

From the pictures I've seen of the two (2.2 and 2.4 versions), the brackets that hold the heat shields are different too. the 2.2 version has a short straight bracket that comes off the headlight bracket mount while the 2.4 version has a longer crooked bracket. On my 2.4 the tube, mounts and brackets are all a perfect fit. I'd bet the K&N 2.2 version is a perfect fit on the 2.2. You could probably install each on the opposite engine but would need to work it a little to fit.

yeah i just read from another thread.... i forgot to do some research, that the 2.4 TB is more to the center of the engine and the 2.2 TB is more to the driver side.
and it looks that the only way to know each other is the color of the intakes 2.2: silver 2.4: black
