Guages

I am looking at a air/fuel ratio guage... How do you hook this up to the car? what wire do you splice up to on the 02 sensor? I am also looking at a fuel pressure guage. Is this easy to install or does it require a lot of tampering with the fuel rail... I am alos thinking of getting a EGT temp guage.? How hard is this one?? I just dont want to monkey around too much with a brand new car. Where do i fing a 3 guage pillar for our balts as well.
Thanks
John

search feature is your friend...... as for the a/f gauge, unless you put a wideband o2 sensor in, you're wasting your money for a dancing gauge

The cheapest place I've seen gauges go for is an eBay company.

http://stores.ebay.com/ihavethebestpriceperformance69

And like iLLmaTic3s Cobalt-Addiction or TurboTech is the best place for the pod. I have a narrowband Cobalt Air/Fuel gauge cause it was given to me free and new. But go get a wideband, AEM, Autometer, any other company. And next for me is water temp, and oil pressure.

Well I would use the search function but I'll help.

Air/Fuel - You obviously need power, so however you do it you need to have it off a switched source. The brown wire which is the signal wire connects to one wire on your harness, can't remember it off the top of my head.

Fuel Pressure - They make adapters that go on your fuel rail, on the far right you see a black cap, well that's where it adapts to. Very simple.

EGT - Why? Usually if your not boosted you don't need it. When you run lean it will get hotter, that's about it. So really you don't need it. But other than that you have another sensor you can install to your DP which is very easy.

And like I said before about going from a switched power source, I have all my gauges running from my IGN fuse, yea don't do that. I burnt the contacts up once. Run one wire from the IGN fused wire on your harness then to a solenoid that switches the power to the gauges you can get from your battery. I am doing a write-up now about it and I will message you for a better way to understand me.

Good luck.

Three gauge A-Pillar - Cobalt Addiction

Air/Fuel Ratio - Useless unless it's a wide band. The others just look like a flashing gay disco.

Fuel Pressure - Like the other poster said it's easy. Tap into the fitting on the end of the fuel rail

EGT - WTF why? You don't have a turbo car and this is just useless.

basically all you do is wire up the gauge for power and for a ground, and then depending on what gauge you get youl wire your controller into the gauge, then plug the o2 sensor serial end into the controller, and then the actual o2 snsor into an extra bung you have welded in the downpipe pre-cat
