The 20G prototype turbosystem I am referring to will not fit auto trans cars, and is not currently slated for production. As described above, should there be sufficient demand for it, we will put it into production, but only for manual trans cars.

The system described in this thread is by far the best bet for auto trans cars!

GarrettŽ GT2860RS Turbocharger (this is different than the one hahn is using: garret gt2871)
Cast turbo manifold
Cast down pipe
Gaskets and fasteners
Oil and water lines
Attachment hardware
Charge air cooler
Charge air cooler plumbing
Hardware

so, when it comes to me using this tuning from the hahn kit, am i gonna be screwed because of the different turbo?

CORRECTIONS DEPARTMENT: celicacobalt has pointed out a discrepancy in my description of the system. He's right, in that our system does incluse a GT2860RS turbocharger. I will go back and edit my post. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

The 20G turbosystem has no price at this time, for it has not entered production. However, should sufficient demand emerge that would bring it to production, I'd estimate the low to mid $4K range. If you'd like to learn more, please PM me, as we'd like to keep this thread relevant to the system being discussed. Thanks for your interest!

Here's a before/after comparison on Adam's 2006 2.4 AT Cobalt. We did a couple runs with it today in preparation for the track this week.

You'll note that unlike the dyno sheet for the other test car, I posted earlier, this time we were in 88 degree temps instead of 57 degrees. Sure didn't hold this puppy back none:

That WHP peak of 241.20 came at a mere 8 PSI boost.

Some other data: Adam's car sports our 3" exhaust, and a stock downpipe/catalytic converter. Other than the exhaust, and of course the turbosystem, she's 100% stock!

God damn, that's all I got to say.

One question - do you plan for your reflash to include disabling the factory speed limiter, or at least extending it to 155mph? I'm assuming since this puppy is still putting out 230+ hp at speed limt, it's capable of of a hell of a lot more..

On the manual prototype system turbo - Hahn, I will PM you and also email Brad seperately. I am MTx owner and I want the BEST kit that is going to be SAFE with current engine internals.. that is unless your MTx proto runs like a grand more than the perfectly awesome solution you've already provided...

Should we expect a noticeable hp difference between the two systems, or between the system we are talking about here - any sort of difference between MTx and ATx when it comes to power to the wheels?

from what i hear... you lose approx 10-15% going from the crank to the wheel. so if it's showing 241 whp, max it would be hovering around 285.

and thats only off 8 lbs of boost?!?! holy god damn! i would like to see what 10-12 would do.

and what that could do with modded i/h/d/e

<---- is applying for more credit cards this week

Tru dat. I'm glad you said it before I got to it. I probably wouldn't have worded it so nicely.

With this kit coming out now... we need to see what kind of power the 4T45E can handle with just a trans cooler. It's been rumored that it can handle 230ft-lb torque stock... but up to 325 ft-lb with a cooler and high-stall tq converter. Any input on this Bill? Anyone else?

Can this system be used with a 20G as well? Just curious, because I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that the GT2860RS (aka disco potato) is smaller than the 20G. I want some higher cpapability later on but still be comfortable for the time being with 260whp, and I want turbo lag so I can stay out of boost for a little while. My girlfriends new Mazdaspeed 3 is amazing, boost lag until 3500, but it will pin you from then on in every gear. Back to Cobalts though, Just curious about that.
