i asked about the ion because of the slightly different configuration of the engine bay, piping would be different tuning would be different.

until someone from hahn says it'll work on a manual 2.4L ion qc there's no way i'll think about buying the kit, also if it would work the the 2.4 definitely for the same price tuned. I'm sure some people on other forums would be ineterested.

As for killing SS/SC's not unless they're bone stock then maybe, but even with a stage 2 which puts you at about 5 to 15 hp more then us we have the advantage of an automatic! No clutch to worry about, no miss shifts to worry about. Don't forget every time you push the clutch your car stops pulling and our autos shift faster then a manual can.

No hate here intened at all so please do not think that.
not by much an expierienced driver can keep up. well im puttin down 173whp. and have no chance at an srt4 right now.

dude you only hate on the morons. I wasnt thinking i guess it would take a stock ss sc. stage 2 should get it though, and if i can take an srt with cai and cat back then a 2.4 turbo damn as well better! Hope someone gets the hahn kit soon enough to see how fast she rally is.

Those numbers are impressive as hell - that is nearly a 100 whp jump from stock, which would account for about a 110/120 crank hp jump. That's about $40 per hp which really isn't a bad 'investment'.

Auto vs 5 speed - My understanding is that there is no noticeable whp difference in turbo apps.. right?

On the vs ss/sc -

I don't think any stock SS/SC is putting out 237 whp stock. Isn't the average about 217?

GM claims - what - 240 hp for stage 2 (I'm assuming that's wheel, and I honestly have no idea what your actuals are..).

All I'm saying - a turbo charged 2.4 should have no problem with a stock ss/sc whatsoever..

I don't see a point in it as this re-does the trans shift points as well. It'll be like getting the shift plus built in.

yup about 4k after tax. lol yeah i think a stage 2 whp is running about 250 not sure unless some guys get that stage 3 which is well over 260whp. but then we can still upgrade lots of things on our 2.4s. its just a huge bill$$$ and jump for things to do on our cars. everything is so new.

And on the SRT-4, supposedly a stock 04-05 SRT-4 puts out 230-235 whp. I'd say we have a slight average pre-boost being vvt.. so it'd likel be a good race, stock vs ss/tc.

yeah that might an interesting thing to try and tap into those vvt's on the 2.4 even though i wouldnt want to. that and adjusting the timing 2 degrees higher maybe for quicker off the line. hmm so your saying a stock 2.4 manual is putting down about 245whp. that means with my gmpp exhaust and highflow dp i should be getting about 250whp with the proper tuning and dyno tune im guessing thats probly pretty good numbers.

Heh, who ever thought we'd EVER be talking about a 2.4 auto Cobalt hanging with, much less possibly walking on, SS/SC's or SRT-4's? Stock or otherwise...

So have you brought Adam's car to the track yet? I'd be really interested to see some youtube videos of it doing a 1/4.. or even just cruising around town.

These are exciting times, good job .

Hahn Kit ioncludes what!

im guessing the hahn kit includes all piping. OIL COOLER turbo itself, maybe a few hoses and clamps and stuff. now the thing i did want to know was. i know it doesnt come with a boost gauge just cuz of the different capabilities people will be running and gauge types for each setup. but will it come with a turbo timer and wiring or what the hell we spending 4k on then sept for piping and turbo and tuning maybe.

Word is there is no custom tuning necessary, outside of a PCM re-flash by the Hahn folks.

Is this the same system (turbo) that is used on the solstice other than the plumbing. If so why the change in hp #'s? I own a manual 5 speed and would like more power than that is there going to be a stage 3 or 4 kit?

my black ss has been cruising the white mountians in stock form waiting for this dam turbo kit for a year and a half.

the only question i have question i have about the kit is will i need to buy anything other than this kit to achive that dyno run. If yes, what.
