As for fad, why would both Hahn and Turbonetics be interested in seeing this done if this is not a viable option? The straight turbo is for outrageous power, race car power and if I can have 555 - 600whp with being twincharged in my daily driver, I will be content.

Just an outside point of view. Although I do like the idea and have personally both drool and messed myself, at the same time too, when looking at HRC's twincharge setup. Good luck to you but I don't think you'll see the numbers your thinking you will.

a stg1 would be pointless, especially if it comes out AFTER the stg2, come on, you know that once that stg1 is installed, you'll want even more and it'll cost you more to get the stg2 later than it would if you got it right away...
there is no date set yet so do like what most people talking in this thread are doing and save up. Since the begining of this thread i've put 100$ aside everyweek and when it comes out I'll probably have enough to buy it, or at least I will next spring when the car comes out of storage.

The s/c that GM puts on these cars is so restrictive to the flow that you won't gain what they gain on some other cars with bigger blowers. Go look on JBO, there's a guy with a twincharged 2.4L and his numbers are WEAK compared to cars with just a turbo at the same PSI levels.

My engine is very built and everyone concerned in this project knows the numbers we are going for. They are confident so I will play this out. This is a learning process for all and we either suceed or try something else. There is no failing and perhaps this will help others because we will find the limits of twincharging.

Well I'll give you the fact that your attitude is dead on what it needs to be for this. Whether you make 300WHP or 300BHP your doing something others won't, can't, or are afraid to do; you've got my respect for that.

Hey Bill...i looked into a turbo more in-depth today and i have a few new questions......
1. What type of warranties do you offer on the turbo.....i have seen a few instances where the turbo impellers have been grinded up real bad due to foreign objects from in/outside the engine.....and also have you had any instances where the internals of the turbo have worn out from normal wear/tear plus have you ever had any problems with leaks and what not....(considering it was installed properly)?
2. Anyone could answer this i guess but how often does the oil need to be changed with your system and also after every change is it true that we have to disable the ignition system and crank her for a few secs to pull new oil up into the turbo to keep it from burning up at regular startup...?
***note to everyone although some of you may want a stage 1 witha primary diff. of no intercooler....i would highly suggest that you get the intercooler anyways becuase intercoolers cool turbo air by up to a 100 degrees....which calculates to an overall increase of 10-20hp due to cooler air......***

Well considering it's after business hours and Bill is a busy man when at work and when he's not, he may not answer right away. Plus the fact that this topic is way far off topic at some points it gets annoying. I'm sure he'll post when he can.
