The results on our site were achieved with a Super20G running at 7-8 PSI. The car also had no catalytic converter and a big exhaust, so it's correct to say she was a big breather! Naturally, we'll also test with cat con in place.

Just a clarification...all the Solstice numbers we have achieved so far have all been on stock internals. And yes, what's being discussed here so far is a Stage II system.

Rev limiter set at 6500 RPM for enhanced durability.

We'd like to see a release occur yet this summer. We're close, very close!

We are also working hard on getting a set of other Cobalt products out there, and will be releasing details about these items in other threads. I'd like to keep this thread just about the 2.4.

We are confident that the high-powered development occurring with our in-house Solstice cars is adequately establishing the safe upper limit for this engine.

Darklord's car is running at a very conservative power level in comparison, and it's primarily serving a different purpose: establishing long-term street driveability and turbosystem durability aspects. We find that a daily driven vehicle is the most effective for this.

Nice to hear that this is a go. It'll be interesting to line-up next to a turbo'd 2.4.

BTW: Nice work so far Hahn, keep it up!

Just out of curiosity, what were the max rpms you tested the 2.4 to?

Our turbosystems are complete installation solutions! Yes, a BOV is included.

Thanks! I'd like to emphasize a couple of details here...

Even though we've started on this 2.4 system as a natural outgrowth of our successful Solstice 2.4 turbo program, we don't intend to leave the Supercharged cars like yours 'out in the cold'. Our Twincharger system for 2.0SC is progressing nicely, and we also have some tasty bits in the works for exhaust enhancements. We're committed to complete the Twincharger system and offer it for sale before we get into higher-powered iterations (Stage III, IV, etc.) of the 2.4SS.

We are also working, as I speak, on getting set up here as a Supporting Vendor. Once that occurs, we'll start to talk about the other Cobalt products in detail.

Definitly become a supporting vendor.

I have one suggestion- Maybe a possible group buy for the 2.4 Turbo when it is released.

i saw some of your other products.....the intake looks like it will be a real nice upgrade to make for support for more power....also do you reccomend exhaust piping bigger than 2.5"....like your 3" piping...is it in our best interest to put on the 3" or no?

That's next! Once we are done developing the TwinCharger, off comes the blower and away we go to turbo-only.

We'll be addressing our new 3" exhaust shortly too. For now, I can offer that 2.5" is adequate for all but the most serious cars in terms of power.

For those of us that want to run a little higher psi for the weekend track days will a boost controller be integrated into the kits? How much boost could run keeping reliability in mind but will put down about 260-275 at the wheels for those visits to the track?

I like that you guys are pursuing the twincharge system, can`t think of a better company to do it. But personally I am a turbo fan that bought a SC car.

CANT WAIT to see what you guys come up with turbo wise!!!

Ah, yes, the magic of Boost Control! There's nothing quite so fun as having multiple power and/or octane levels available at the flick of a switch

Once we have the standard Stage II mastered, we'll be visiting those higher power levels you describe. But yes, the boost controller would be the way to rock for daily durability plus weekend thrills!
