Post Help choosing magnaflow muffler

Looking at doing my own exhaust just wondering which magnaflow muffler would be a better choice. I like the Magnaflow #14829 muffler and I've also liked the #11216. I know this sounds dumb but I'm not to sure what the stock piping is on my car. Obviously I have a 2.4 eco it's in a 06 ss sedan. Idk what the biggest difference in em since some are more then others. I'm looking something with a nice deep tone and I'm not looking for a quiet exhaust. I'd like to beable to hear it, lol

I would go with a 2.5 inch inlet/outlet muffler . Also if your doing a custom exhaust which is what I did myself I would suggest you replace the stock piping that shrinks down to 2.25 at the rear axel. I bought this product here:

So is the rest of the exhaust 2.5 before the rear axle then?

Yes thats correct. after you do your custom exhaust you should also add a intake, header and downpipe to get your car breathing even better.

That's odd for them to take down the exhaust size like that. Thanks for the info. And yeah I plan on getting a header n intake just waiting for the little extra cash flow.
