Help! Tried getting my car tuned with hp tuners and this is what happened
#27
Each year/model of a car has to be unlocked. It costs 6 credits to unlock an entire model year. So for 6 credits (about $300), I can unlock every 2006 Cobalt SS S/C. Therefore, I can't tune any 2.2, 2.4, or any other year unless I unlock them.
Or you can buy 2 credits to unlock one Vin number. Therefore, I can unlock my car, but not tune on anyone elses until I unlock theirs

For those of you with the AUTO you HAVE to WRITE ENTIRE. It is because the car has a VCM and a TCM. The write calibration does not work in this case.

I agree, you unlock the 2.0L and it reads and writes the 2.4L as well. Its a loop hole in the software.
It says its a 2.0L, but it recognizes its a 2.4L and gives you the 2.4L options and things. its wierd but it does work.

It's not a loophole, they intended it that way.
