would a ram air style hood scoop help a gmpp intake take in more air and increase hp?
By havin the openin over the filter of course

bought a carbon fiber fake hood scoop...placed it over his intake...cut out holes in his hood.


He made it look good, wasnt cheap at all...and he said it was better.

 

hmmm hopefully one of them will post, but im still wondering why no one has put out a functional aftermarket hood for this ya know, because cobalt-addicton.com has put out hoods that have openins but there just for looks.

Its LewiSS that has that hood w/ the functional custom hood scoop.

There are also hoods that have a center scoop and it is routed to the intake.

 

..RK sport has a RAM AIR Hood that is MADE for the GMPP intake... it dumbs air right in the filter not jsut the engine

 

Yes a scoop right over the airbox + the GMPP intake actually shows worthwhile gains.

The RK hood should provide the same gains

 

it showed a 7hp gain just from a scoop

Its already been posted in other threads, but these pictures seemed relevant.

 

I said it before and ill say it again... that thing is hideous... it looks like a big ******* nose on the side of the face.

it has to be functional cuz its hideous... the only nice thing about the car is the carbon fiber in the interior
