How many people replacing 2.4 4 dr???

How many of you are donating your 2.4 4 dr to your significant other and ordered the 2008 SS/TC??? As soon as the new Turbo arrives the wife turns in her lease and takes over the 2007 SS 4 dr. that I am currently driving. Then I get to start moding all over again. This time it appears most of the mods will be appearance related, at least at first, given that the Turbo probably won't have any available GMPP available at the start. Thats OK, since the stock Turbo is currently less likely to lend itself to engine mods, if its performance is as good as being advertised.

You know I've never thought of working this angle. I was always fixated on how I could convince her to let me trade my 4 door SS in on a TC. We have a gas-sucking 04 Buick Rainier as our other vehicle so that might be a good angle to work given the mileage boost we'd see. However I know she likes having a big AWD vehicle in the winter. She hit some black ice this past winter and plowed it into a snowbank at 45mph. It didn't phase that thing but probably would have done some serious damage to my car. Hmmm...back to pondering I guess.

I don't have 2.4SS sedan (I have a coupe rather), but I have no intentions of trading it in for the SS/TC. I've dumped about $7,000 in my car thusfar, and I love it, so no SS/TC for me.

Agreed. Itd literally be "downgrading".

Id lose displacement. Id lose horsepower/torque. and id lose about $12,000 worth of mods.

And to my knowledge, they stopped producing SS sedans.....so +1 for having a rare car

Everyone please read carefully, I'm not getting rid of the 2.4 sedan only handing it over to my wife, its still in the family, theres nothing wrong with it. And for those with a 2.4 sedan turbo-GREAT!!! Our 2.4 is stock. We are returning our leased Malibu Maxx and I simply saw the opporunity for a Turbo in my future and jumped on it. So we will have a 2008 2.0 Turbo coupe and a 2007 2.4 sedan in the family, both with decent MPG, but when I want to go fast I'll be more than able to.
