I was just reminding you mkrule, since every other post you make is telling people to use the search. Just make sure you get an SS and not the sport, because remember they're different.

 

....you mean an ss 2.4 vs a sport 2.4? or are you saying he needs to get an LSJ/LNF?

 

its easy to get on the car, the key is having someone knowledable tune your car which is my biggest issue. had it on since 2007.

 

i ran 15lb of boost on a stock 2.4 before it went pop. Was over 300whp for sure.

no the 2.2 will be luckier than hell and walking on breaking glass if it passes 250...the 2.4 doesnt have that problem.....

Mike you just can't detect sarcasm, I told him the two 2.4's were different because he was trying to call my 08 sport an ls a while back.

Also, I've made a few other useful posts if I may add. But then again even if I haven't, I've never said or done anything to you, so you can go take it on the chin.

 

the 2.2 can do 250bhp easily dude.... that's what everything's rated for. Its when you pass 300 that you should be breaking up. Im at 265 myself

lulz.. on a good tune the 2.4's can handle over 350 whp no problem good tune is the key

boosted g5 blew his and he suspected it was about 320 whp at the time but he was also going 150 mph ... that tends to be out of normal tuning range

 

i think i saw somewhere that the 08 sport has a diff computer than the previous le5s and not many tunes support it. sorry for being a noob thats what we do ask questions and learn.

 

it is a different ecm but it the motor is the same

 

i seen vector supports it is it any good. say compared to the jet chip

 

The 09 lt2 doesn't have the same power as my car...therefore yes, that would be ricerish

The sport and SS/NA are both the LE5...

That's strange that it would have the same power too, since they stopped making that engine in 08...

I'm guessing your talking about the 2.2L engine right. Cause they are still making the LE5. The 2.2L engine under went some changes: it received VVT and a slight boost in HP at the cost of losing some TQ. Also they renamed it the LAP.
