How Much Power Does The Downpipe Add With Headers?

i really want to get the zzp combo with the headers and downpipe...
but i was wondering how much power are you really going to gain with the downpipe??
should i just go the cheaper route and just get headers or is there a big horsepower gain with the downpipe??

The downpipe is the worst piece in the exhaust. It is insanly restrictive.

that zzp combo is far and away the best bang for the buck header+downpipe combo the cobalt community has ever seen IMO.
ZZP claims gains of between 15-40hp depending on your mods.
it wouldnt surprise me if a stage 2 cobalt could see 30BHP from just that header/dp combo.

our stock downpipe is a disgusting piece of exhaust work. anyone who has seen one up close and personal off the car will know what i mean.

keep in mind were talkin about the midlength header/downpipe setup.

How in the world can you put the zzp downpipe on and not feel the difference?!?
did you get a 2.5 with cat or something?

Yeah, 2.5". Anything bigger will be overkill on a n/a 4-cyl.

Whether you get a cat or not is up to you. I run a cat-less CA downpipe myself.

I had a GMPP intake, exhaust and tune then installed the header and downpipe from ZZP and noticed a minor difference. I guarantee you a stage 2 with intake will DEFINITELY have a smile on his face if he were to purchase this.

That's weird, from a cold start I have to hit the gas 2 times and the rice is gone. And new cars don't have to pass emissions until 3 years after the model year. With a new header/downpipe/cat or whatever you will still pass emissions, your car isn't running any richer so it won't spit out more gas so you don't have to worry. But your CEL is guaranteed to come on because its running too lean.

i got the high flow cat with the d/p, but noticed no difference, so im either gunna get rid of the cat on the stocl d/p or buy a 3 in catless one from cobalt addiction

most exhaust do sound worse when they're cold. that's the way it is doesn't mean it's a pos.
