How Strong is the 2.4??

I was wondering how strong is the 2.4? Can it take a turbo stock without going internal?

What about NOS im not really worried about this but i would say you would have to put in colder plugs but i was just wondering how strong the engine is and I know alot of engines have to be heavy modified to handle NOS or a Turbo.

i think the 2.4 is a great starting point... there is a member on here that did a custom job w/ a 2.4 block and 2.0 heads, his name is mvp, you should contact him. it has higher compresion but imo displacement>boost

The LE5 engine does come stock with forged rods. The pistons, like the LSJ, are probably still the weak link. So internals are excellent stock for an aftermarket forced induction or nitrous setup.

i believe we can run nitrous on our 2.4s on stock everything EXCEPT intake manifold. thatl blow to peices. its just plastic ive seen a video of it happening.

ryan. IM WAITING FOR HAHN ASWELL turbo looks great. as long as i dont have to buy pistons but i might anyways and maybe a head job which would make that turbo run sweeter.

no, from what i heard it can be done without it, but it still is an option if all else fails.

Transmissions are the same as the old Cavy's and Sunfires, and guys have been beating on those for years with little problems.

GM did a good job with the SS/NA or GTs. It's almost like the "planned" to do wonderful things with them.

I remember that, but all the dealers that have spooged out turbo and supercharger kits have said they are comfortable going up to 250 on them.
But I see your point. better safe than sorry any day
