I wanna become the hottest 2.4 in my area

hey guys, like the title says, i wanna become the hottest 2.4 around my area (suffolk county, Long Island, NY.) their are a bunch of ss/sc's around and a few ss/tc's to. but i wanna have the sickest 2.4 around. i already have debadged the car, painted the bowties black, gotten gen 1 projector headlights, painted my interior dash to match the exterior(gloss black), gotten tints, tinted the tails, and have a rear ss/sc/tc lip on the way which will soon be painted, and installed. My question is do you guys have more suggestions on what else i can do to the car both performance wise and looks wise to make it better. really any input would help, thank you! i really appreciate it

How much do you want to spend? Do you have a power goal of any kind other than hot?

if you what a truly hot ride you're gonna need boost to stand above the other 2.4s in your area and if there are any other boosted 2.4 cruising your local streets you're gonna wanna go big or keep your ass at home.

to be honest i think you're in for a world of hurt if all you're concerned with is one-upping the next guy.

lol you have a point, i just want to make it look good with appearance modifications and CAI catback, headers downpipe, if i hd the money i would def boost, but if i was at that point to invest tht much into the car, i would just look into getting a tc. i just want to make it look sick with some performance mod's s it sure, i would love to boost it but money's tight!

and no im not trying to one up the next guy im just trying to make my car uniquely my own, with some mods so people turn their heads when i passby, im not concerned with one upping the next guy, because their are to many ss/sc's/tc's around here, just want to make a few mods to it so it can stand out and get opinions on which way i should go from fellow cobalt guys on this site

i'm digging the neons/leds, that's gonna be the cheapest stand out mod, if you're gonna be doing the nighttime cruise thing. a "hot" set of wheels and quality tires is gonna be half the cost of a turbo kit, especially when you throw in powdercoating. a quality paint job with a dual-tone is gonna cost about the same. if you want to stand out in a good way you're going to be spending a lot of money either way whether its looking fast or going fast standing out is gonna require a real investment.

get carbon fiber hood nice rims maybe lower it... evo mod umm darken tail and headlights. oh abody kit. but in my opinion I prefer a car that looks stocks but is a sleeper then a car that looks like its suppose to be fast and gets dusted...

if your car "looks fast" but is slow as *****, no one is gonna think you're cooler or have the nicest cobalt out there. do not do neons, or a body kit, or any crap like that, that'll just get you laughed at. slam it, murder it out and do a nice stereo setup since you cant do the speed thing right now.

^lol it's all good you have good points, and to everyone, im a college kid paying my own tuition, i am trying to do what i can with the car and would love to do all engine mods before i even touched the outside, but the appearance is alot cheaper to modify first before the engine, im trying to do a little of both here and there, to build my car into something that i can personally love and have everyone around appreciate and respect.

save up and just start with the go. you'll get way more out of it in the end then you would a "pretty" ride. no matter how good it looks it ain't gonna be a "fun" ride.

hell, even if you start with the suspension you're gonna start off having a good time enjoying out much better the car drives. then you can invest in the "go" later when money isn't as tight.

"show" just don't go nowhere. if you want a flashy car by all means buy usless mods. but if you really do enjoy driving put your money where it's gonna make a difference.

^ everybody is different. some people could care less about a fast car.

id say lower it first, these things are way to high stock. then maybe wheels and tires, if you really want to stand out, get a side exit exhaust.
