I wanna become the hottest 2.4 in my area

That statement makes me laugh... hahaha.. if u get a blower the car gets 225whp on stock pulley 10 more horses then the LSJ and at only 9 PSI...I believe the stock LSJ is at 10-12 PSI... the only thing that sucks about the 08 2.4 are internals but put a blower or turbo they content just as much as the others...

i do agree with this statement, but the reason they dont handle alot of boost is due to the high Comp. ratio out of the box. a 10.5:1 motor is not meant to hold alot of boost.
i also agree the 2.4 is no slouch, and an 8.5-9.5:1 rebuild and these cars are great for boost, but once you rebuild the motor to boost it, the reason you bought a 2.4 is out the window. they werent much cheaper than a FI SS off the lot.
An M62 on a 2.4 with a 3.0 pulley seems to be where the relability line is, and will make 240+ at the wheels. if youre not happy with that number, spend a wad of cash to build that 2.4 or buy an SS/SC or TC. i'd find an SC or TC with the LSD over build the 2.4 for boost.

haha ok put a 2.7 on it not only will have more power then the LSJ it can handle the boost at 2.7 u are around 17-19 PSI I believe? at 2.8 we are around 14PSI so we use a little less boost then the LSJ. We have a high compression yes but most 2.4 are good to around the same as the LSJ.. I believe the LSJ are good to 350hp? but if im wrong regardless its still a great quick car... I just thought it was funny u saying "give up its a 2.4" if u compare it to the LNF I would agree but the Le5 is a car totally worth working on.

ACtually some 2.4 have forged rods and pistons like the LSJ IDk what the limit is for the LSJ but I believe they are both 350. The high compression is killer I got the sport cause all the sc had way too many miles and insurance was up the butt haha but i slapped a sc on there and its just as fast. I believe Dragonsfire had a 2.8 pulley on there with a good amount of mods. LSJ for sure would be easier to mod but would take the fun out of it haha jk.

Ok like I said 06-07 sports some have forged pistons and rods. A m62 correct wont get u that power. That's y I stated that I thought that statement was funny. 2.4 can content they are cheap and easy to mod. Haha I will let u know when I put my 2.7 haha on stock internals. But I'm at high altitude that's y
But compared to the cobalt TC I can see the guys point. But it matches well against the lsj

Look at it this way: Your car can only go fast at a track, or in short bursts provided you have a radar detector, nine months out of the year, and only when the roads are dry. If you do some modest appearance mods, those bitches will work all day, every day, rain, snow, or shine. They'll cost you jackshit to have them on.
What good is having a car built for racing when you can't even race it?
