When it comes to racing, it's not the roads that limit you and it's not the cops. All that limits you is your decision "to race, or not to race?"

To me speeding tickets are like paying an extra road tax (as I like to call them a "speed tax"). Nobody ever said it was cheap to go fast.

Believe it or not, I don't get very many tickets. I do however get pulled over a lot. A cop once told me that the color of my car has nothing to do with me getting pulled over more often. I call bs. It's a bright yellow car. I was once pulled over by Florida State Troopers just to have my car sniffed out by drug dogs. What's even worse is that I was not speeding, he had no reason to pull me over, I never got a ticket and after a lot of harassment he let me go on my way. I have had the drug dogs sniff my car in Tennessee, once again no ticket. Cops profiling my car all the time sucks. But I like the car so I put up with it.

To get back on the subject of this thread, I say (to the original person that started this thread) you should go with doing tasteful appearance mods, try to be original but don't go overboard. Keep your ride clean looking and sleek. It's hard to go for performance and appearance because they are both going to cost a load of money if you do them properly. I've tried to do a little of both but it's taking a long time to get together all the parts and mods done that I have planned on. Don't try to be the fastest because there is always someone faster and if your not careful you can damage your car if you don't have the proper supporting mods that go along with adding more horsepower. It's all about what you want! We can only give you our opinions. Some people like more appearance mods whereas some people horsepower is more important. Since college has you a little strapped for cash at the moment it's much cheaper and smarter to make your ride look nice than it is to fix the motor if something goes wrong.

 

In all seriousness even on a frugal budget you could get boosted. Save a little money and you could find a lot of deals on used stuff if you are quick. On appearance things too, used stuff is your friend.

Oh...my... u cant race if its not on a track that is epic!!!! haha what limits me from racing is traffic if there is traffic I wont race sometimes I get a light and from a dig we have a good lil run to about 80 or less so u can race. plus IMO I will laugh at a car that looks good on the outside but has no power. If it had all the bolt ons and tuned just by that it has my respect and then can go to the exterior. Just give it a little bit of power. No need to boost if u cant but at least do bolt ons.

You really wanna make that car 'hot'? Convert it to a RWD, and have a custom install done on a Sky/Soltice TC powerplant. Now, you're unique.

^umm okay. 1. im not on staten island. 2. i posted this thread to get ideas on what modifications i should due to my car, both performance wise and appearance just to get feedback and ideas on what other ppl recommended. i didnt post pics cause its a regular black 2.4 and i just wanted some ideas on things i could do to the car in the future, money permitting.

Truth is, if you roll up in a hot LOOKING car the girls will love it, most chicks dont even know what the hell a supercharger is.

Screw it man, your 2.4 is already quick enough for DD and mild racing, just do its looks up to the **** and put a nice sound system in it.
