installed GMPP's today
so, yesterday i picked up my packages from fedex, and last nite, in the freezing cold i put on my gmpp intake, 20 mins, and i did it in the dark, that was really easy.
today when i dropped of my car at a local performance shop to put on the gmpp manifold and performance catback,
when i got back from the dealer, my car was done
so.. now when i punch it while in 1st, my drive wheel spins not when im taking off i mean when im already in gear, guess i should a got an lsd, to bad there was no option for it in the g5. anyway the car feels a lot quicker and smoother,
im going back to the shop within a few days (gotta go back to work n ****) to get him to dyno it for me, it'll be on a dyno-jet, and we were discussing a tune, i hope to have a dyno sheet for you by the end of the week if he has time to do it on a my 2.5hr break from work.
i've seen a bunch of 2.4's with different mods on here, hitting 160+ to the wheels with just a cai and a tune, and hispdpursuit just posted a thread showing he did 171 at the wheels with just a cai and catback,
seeing as how i have the catback, manifold and intake, im wondering what i'll be at, im gonna do a dyno run for the parts i installed and then one after the tune , i wish i could have had a stock dyno chart too but the shop had a few cars going on the dyno today and didnt have time for mine

to answer a few questions, i stil do have my stock downpipe and cat, and i'll try to post a video, its snowing heavy outside today so i doubt it'll happen today, but i do say as ong as i keep the revs below 2750rpm, its not too loud, WOT is a different story, but its not ricer loud, i love it

hey hispdpursuit your car was dyno'd at steeda, which is a mustang dyno correct? arent those intended for rear wheel drive cars? and if so wouldnt that make your numbers a bit higher? or lower?

if you are going to dyno it have it tuned, otherwise your wasting your money. with a good tune you will probably pick up damn near the same performance as you did with your upgrades

well i was planning on having a dyno before and after tune, the shop i went to has a dyno there and they can tune it, so im getting a better deal this way, plus im doing the guy a favor so i'm just gonna ask for a free dyno

there's no cel from the gmpp. its a gm part, they wouldnt release it it there was one, cels are being cause my filters you have to oil, excessive oiling will clog up the maf and cause it to throw a cel, this is a dry filter, oil free, no cell,
i did the intake, manifold and exhaust, with the battery connected, no cel

my dyno was done on a mustang dyno. mustang dyno's tend to be more accurate as well.
it also doesnt matter if it is FWD or RWD on a mustang or dynojet...
and yea...a tune would do these cars good since they run very lean. the reason i got a dyno doen was just to get an idea of the power, but more importantly see what the engine is doing in terms of knock retard, timing, air:fuel, etc

^^^ this sounds like its getting into a preference thing, or a convenience thing, lol.. i wonder if anyone has figured out why both the dyno's show different numbers on the same car
