Actually the 2.4 manifold is pretty good. It's an improvement over the 2.2 one. You would have to go with something like the Hahn Racecraft StreetRace Sheetmetal manifold if you wanted something bigger, but it's designed for a forced induction application. Or you could buy a Saab or LNF manifold, they are cast aluminum. But it won't give you any gains really.

it most likely would be too big of a manifold and you would lose power out of it... same theory with TBs, if the port is too big... it's like trying to drink a pop using a straw the size of a roll of paper towels... doesn't suck anything.

so it would be a waste of time...i mean im fully building my head so it would be a lil more power...what you think..

Like a I said, you could use it, you just won't gain anything from it. The cast manifolds are pretty much the same dimensions as the one you currently have, so basically you would just be adding weight. The Hahn manifold without forced induction would actually rob you of power, so you don't want to do that.

However, have you seen the Hahn manifold? Super pretty! This one is from a Cavalier (TB on the other side for Cobalts) and also includes a second fuel rail and ports for a second set of injectors:

There are other designs too.

would i need something like that to run NOS? Cause I think even with a small shot it would blow the stock 1 to pieces, as far as I know, its plastic.

Word. For once I won't be the only 2.4 at a meet, haha. Tsunam1 is the only other 2.4 that's ever shown up to a meet around here.

You can run it on plastic, but IMO from what I have seen over the years. You won't catch me running nitrous on anything plasic.

Anyone see that LS blow the IM to pieces with nitrous? and ppl its not NOS, NAWZ, it is plainly nitrous.
