Mike, Your performance shop called and I gave them guidance on head disassembly and some short cuts. You're guaranteed to have some bent valves as they did a leak-down and found a bunch of cylinders not holding. It'll be a while until you get your car back up and operational...

3-5 weeks is a good guess. You figure the time to pull it and take it to a machine shop, then the head has to wait its tun on the shelf, they get to it clean it tear it down see whats bad and order the parts, wait for new parts to come in, reasemble and check it out, then ship it back and re-install it on the engine. Yeah I'd say 3-5 sounds about right, lean more toward the 5 cause its not a small block and parts aren't as avalible.
See you in January.

Ouch man, I feel for you. My car is in for oil, door handle, tires, and a tranny check. It may have only been yesterday that I dropped it off, but I miss it. They gave me a 4 door SS auto to drive.... fast, but I hate auto.... i want my car

My new engine took awhile to get in (1 month), my clutch troubles took awhile to fix (1 month), and my headgasket blown took awhile to for me to break down and fix it (1 month). I'm saying a month!

It shouldn't take 5 weeks, sheesh, don't scare the guy. But for a virgin shop touching an ECOTEC the first time, it won't take a couple days thats for sure.
Have them check the piston crown edge for damage and ensure the combustion chamber has not received damage as well. ECOTEC guides always crush from the combustion chamber side first, then up. So you really have to check the guides for hair-lines and straightness at this point...
I believe you said your going with 2.2L ECO Ferrea springs, they won't fit. The head will have to be modified as the springs are about + 0.100" OD and will bind up against the oil frame.
Thats all that comes to mind now...

Great news,I called the shop, and due to the fact that I did not turn the car, they are saying that it is just the valves, they will know more later today,he was saying that there is little damage only cause of the torquing that was done, there is also the chance that it might just be the intake valves, but I might as well replace all anyways, well Im feeling better than I was this morning BTW..Mev what valves should I go with?? and $$$$
