Just got new HEADERS!!!

to complete my full exhaust set up (previously had a y-pipe split over rear axel with dual exhaust and custom race mufflers), i just installed my V2 header and Vibrant downpipe with high flow cat from Cobalt Addiction. as others have said..."PURE SEX". the header and downpipe really open the car up and add HP. a lot better flow, noticeable pulls, and better mileage. I will soon post pics for anyone interested. i put on header wrap cuz i heard it may work well, and it does. anyways, took about 2 hours total. removing the downpipe was easy, but broke the 3 studs that connect it to the header (glad it came with new ones). header and O2 sensors came off with no problems. the only issue i had was trying to put the new donwpipe on the new header. one of the new studs were junk, no matter how i cleaned it up and what not, it would not thread into the header. so after a trip to OSH, everything went quick.so excited. will post more later so its not that long to read (already is...i know)

Header and a downpipe is a must for all cobalts.

all i have performance wise is a K&N CAI and full exhaust. Huge diff over stock. coming soon is the Jet chip MAF sensor and the MRZ under-drive pulley.

in the future, Jet Chip, and that will probably be the most i could get out of it without forced induction.

then comes handling... strut bar and rear sway bar in the near future. if anyone has one for sale, let me know

thanks

im not getting the chip, only the Mass air flow sensor. sorry...

as for the MAF sensor, my neighbor, who's also a car guy (but FORD), said that somoe of his previous cars he put chips in or any other work, did reach their full potential until he was able to put a better MAF sensor in. So im skeptical... guess i have to wait till i put it in to see if i notice a difference.

i can guarantee you with 100% certainty that it will not provide any gain in HP. Anythingyou think you feel will be in your head. its a waste of cash
