After the header and downpipe install (catless) man this thing is a lot louder. Didnt expect that is that normal for headers? Also at first start up it sounds like it has an exhaust leak but goes away after a sec. Ive tightened and re tightened the header nuts. It's not making noise when i take it down the road just for a sec when i first start it up. Any one else experience it. No exhaust leaks i checked everything.

stock exhaust except a free flow turbo muffler from autozone lol. Ive heard it would make it louder but man its at least double what it used to be. I bought a scan guage as well and it gives you 1/4 mile times hp and trq numbers, really nice piece i think every car should have and i picked up 16hp and 12 lbs of torque according to my scan guage so thats nice to know. i love the scan guage cause it tells me how much hp i get from every mod just my 2 cents.

keep in mind that's a rough estimate and it's BHP not WHP. so it's estimated hp at the crank not to the wheels

yea they will be loud, have same setup in the garage but im going turbo and have no use for them. and on the tightening of header bolts. make sure ya dont overtighten. they do have torque specs for a reason.

It's not the header that is making it noisy. Catless = loud as *****. Get a VERY good resonator and muffler and it will quiet it down a bit. The sound you hear when you first start it sounds normal to me, mine does something similar.

Yeah its the interceptor scan gauge you can get it at zzp's website. I found out what the exhaust leak sound was, i put the wrong gasket on the downpipe where it connects to the header, it was really thin and small i was just in a hurry i guess. The scan gauge i think is reading correctly cause it said i put down 153 HP which sounds right to me. with my mods and 172 Tq. Who knows if it's spot on but it get's you in the right area i guess

My shorty leaks a bit till its warmed up and then seals up. But part of thats from the gasket needing replaced. But it will be getting replaced with a zzp longtube at the beginning of the year.

As far as it being loud as previously said thats because you went catless. Honestly its not worth it to me to go catless. Just run a high flow cat and deal with the fact you have 1hp less than you would of!

Its honestly worth it. Especially if a cop decides to be a dick about not having a cat on your car.

(though federal law I believe says you cant remove or modify the stock exhaust unless something happened to the factory one. Since mine got taken out by a ninja pirate indian warhawk Im legal )

Ninja Pirate I work in a bad area where it's a known problem that people will steal your cat and cut it off. Had a guy at work go out to his nice lifted truck and when he started it, it was wide open off his exhaust manifold. Bunch of low lifes sawsalled it off when we were working. So that will be my excuse if i get stopped
