Just Ordered the Hahn Kit :guns:

Well, I haven't been around in forever - kinda slacked off with my move from Cleveland to sun-shiny North Carolina.

But, wanted to let everyone know I placed my order for Hahn's Stage 2 kit yesterday. I promise full photos once I get it installed... which is pretty much reliant on how long it takes me to win by battle with the dealer down here over the 2nd gear synchro.

By the way, I've got a GMPP intake that'll be sitting in the garage in about a month if anybody is interested. I'd prefer a local buyer (Cherry Point, Lejeune, New River area) - but it's here for the taking.

That is really cool i was just reading the article in GM High Tech Perfromance magazine about it. It doesn't look that hard to install either other than where it bolts on the turbo to the exhaust manifold.

I can give you a preview...they went 13.50's with it, in one visit to the track! Several of our customers have carded mid-13's with these turbosystems on 2.4 SS, automatic and manual trans...I feel it's jut a matter of time before someone breaks into the 12's with one!

Wow that is great, and impressive with an auto, which is exactly what i have. The price isn't bad considering what you're getting too, you would end up with a cool little car that could kick some serious ass and nobody would know what hit them. You could keep up with the big boys with those kind of numbers!

And the other thing is for someone like me who has a 2.4 SS and loves it, I love the handling it rides great but i wished i had just went ahead and gotten the SS/SC when i bought it. It would probably end up costing a lot more to get out of the 2.4 and into a new SS/TC than it would to do this Hahn turbo kit by the time you got done being ripped off on the trade in, which is also cool because its a lot less common than the 2.0s.

What problem are you having with second gear? Cause my second gear grinds if I don't let the tranny rev down below 2,000 but my dealership won't look at the syncro. They say it normal activity for a new car, but I don't think so.

That is exactly the problem I am having with my 2nd gear. Basically if I go WOT in 1st, I have to let it settle back down before shifting to 2nd, or if I'm in 3rd or 4th, I have to do the same. If you try to do a WOT shift into 2nd, it literally feels as if you are going to rip the transmission out through your shifter.

Heel-toe driving tends to help a bit it seems, but since mine has been doing this for about two months, its likely I've just accustomed myself to it.

There is actually a TSB on it somewhere I've found before. You could likely do a search, find it, and take that to the dealership.

Now, I took mine in late March, and was told the synchro was on back order. It is now nearly June, and is supposedly still on backorder. I am very, very close to waging a war with GM in the hopes of getting an entire new transmission.

Now, with all that said, some folks have been posting that tightening the linkage will end the problem. I don't know if this is true or not, as I haven't tried it. It could very well be the linkage cable, and by replacing syncrhos they were inadvertently tightening the cable.. who the hell knows.

But what I can tell you - this is not normal. This is not your fault. A lot of other folks are having the same problem as you, fight it.

I was just thinking after reading this post, does your car give you a hard time shifting into just any gear sometimes? Mine occasionally gives me a hard time to go into gear. I'm starting to wonder if maybe it is the linkage.

If your just going to toss the GMPP intake, my buddy out here wants an intake bad for his 2.4 Sedan. Ill pay for the shipping if you just want to rid of it.
