i second that... does anyone here actually have a gmpp intake installed? in fact, what would be awesome is if someone with their K&N and someone with their GMPP each made a video to show them off and posted them

never seen the GMPP installed... sorry i didnt read all the way thru... as long as it bolts to something, its good. and it looks like it has strait pipe throughout. i think either one will give you whatt you want.

just a little sidenote...

IMHO, i would want the space around the filter open for max. airflow, and the GMPP has the little case around it sucking against the hood.. but i think it sucks down into the bumper... that would be more like a CAI not really a SRI, so i would still go with the K&N

video being posted.. give me a sec.
i think the GMPP is both, the Box does some what cloes it off from the engine bay, but i think it still connects to the stock ducting from the fender. I do know one thing which is another huge plus of the GMPP intake the RK Sport hood was designed to work with it, so you get a true ram air

yeah i know its huge gains, some kid on here chopped his stock hood, it was shocker, but for me to the RK hood will be far out due to the coast

Injen
smashed pipe right before the TB, restricts airflow.
rubs against the hood and front bumper clip

IN conclusion..

K&N, sometimes actually cheaper than the others, for no crimps, no harsh bends, no smashed pipe, heat shield, big filter, no harsh objects inside, all the welds are grinded down... K&N is THE best SRI. period.
I dont know about the 2.2 or 2.4s but i know they fix that problem with the new Injen intakes they no longer rub and once again Injen was the first Proven Dyno intake but good write up none the less

oh, did they? i guess i saw one of the older ones. and im pretty sure about k&ns strait pipe being a little less restrictive than the intake's smashed pipe method. meaning more airflow.

I just got rid of my AEM and went with K&N Typhoon Cold Air and there was a huge difference. Granted I have the SS/SC but still, I am sure the K&N for your car will be one of the better ones to get. Rather have K&N than Injen.

do you think your video did your intake justice? or is it really that much beefier sounding in person?

The GMPP one is quiet.

Too pricey to.

I have an AEM CAI...way better sound over a SRI

I should take some vids...

Rather be safe than sorry.

Having to clean your MAF every so often FTL.

Wish we had LSx MAFs...they have a superheated platinum wire to self clean.
