yea i have it. I like it. Its cheap and helps the engine breathe a lot better. I noticed a small increase in the sound and response. But nothing to really shake a stick at. Its just a more affordable alternative to the CAI's and SRI's.

K&N claims about 3 hp... couple this with the airbox mod and you have the equivelant of a cai for 39 dollars, minus the bling factor...

however, i did throw a CEL which ill have to read and clear soon.. but thats normal when adding intake mods

lol just remember to take your tripod out your back seat! <3

i used the K&N RE 0930 but it was a little TOO big... we had to used a razor and cut out a little triangle on the rubber necking of the filter to make it fit! however, it still work wonderfully and its HUGE!

best bet... amazon.com

beware though, you will most likely throw a CEL so if i were you i'd get a code reader for like 20 dollars

btw... what is the aibox mod stg 2? lol

if you want me to take pics of my engine bay ill do it now

resonator removal = stage 1
hacking the airbox apart = stage 2

it was a joke.

the reason i ask was penquinpie says the "pipe" is about 3.5 inches around. AEM makes a dryflow filter that's 3.5 inch inlet (only 3.5 i could find) so i ordered that. i've got beck sending me an OEM airbox for me to hack apart. my goal with this project is to both mount the cone filter and at the same time, keep it secure AND make it a five minute swap back to stock. i got the air tank full and the camera charged... this ought to be interesting... any photos anyone could post would be grand, as i'm trying to add to the work of others... ideally to make it a more useable and professional modification. thanks.

jebus, that's massive. lol. but yeah, you've basically got going on what i had in mind. keeping the top part of the boc clampable. to the lower half. does it rattle at all without the OEM filter rubber in place?

side note: i notice that you removed the engine cover... just so you know, that little plastic riser that the oil cap is on, comes off. it just rotates to the left and then the cap can attach right to the valve cover.

does not rattle at all...

when you start your car up you'll hear it suck up air... when you turn your car off, you'll hear it squeeze out its last breath...

other then that, the acceleration (especially from 3k and up) is greatly improved.

i am upload a video right now - keep in mind i only had one hand to control the steering wheel and to shift so i didnt WOT... plus i had two 100 lb salt bags in the trunk of my car lol

yeah, the filter was big enough that we just pushed it in there... there is no movement at all from the intake

i bet your'e getting out cel because it's not attached properly... air is being sucked in through a gap, not through the filter.... i'm willing to bet on that...
