K&N SRI released for 2.4 gets 16 horsepower!
#126
Results from my dyno AEM vs K&N first of all I don't have the sheet I forgot it at the tune shop but I will pick it up.The weather was a bit hotter then when I went for the first tune for the AEM and we found out that it went lean on the top with the K&N and so he did a little bit of tuning and today we couldn't break 160hp I was getting 159.8 hp. also we were talking that we never had the stock intake on my car so it would be hard to tell what the actual gain would be and yeah it could be possible for the gain on stock tuning and it leaning out for that amount of hp gain. So when I go back were going to put the stock tune in and see what happens. I was at least hoping to see some kind of a gain. Im going to run my car for a few days and see what happens with the computer learning and see what will happen and go from there. Also what was mentioned was that these were designed with stock tune so don't be surprised if when a car gets tuned you may loose a little hp and one last thing I'm going to do is go and get some 100 octane and do a mix to bring my octane # up from 91 to about 95 and see how much that helps we've got 91 octane.
If I remember right my tq was 155.7
HP was 159.8
So for ppl that say an intake is someones preference I do believe that

So do you think it gave you 16 whp like k/n claim?

Not after the tune so were going to put the stock tune back in and see approx what we will have from that point also remember this gain is on a stock tune from K&N so you probabily won't see it on a tuned car I know we had to richen my car up a bit because my tune was set with the AEM intake. I'm curious what will happen when I go back to the stock settings Also the numbers were real close when I go to this dyno shop the time of day and other things that will play with the hp but my averages are 158.2 to 162.4 like I said the daily elements will give or take a couple of hp
