I'm really beginning to hate this traction control. Traffic is hell around here most of the time... so I have to get on the gas pretty hard sometimes to get into a gap. Yet it seems that any time I have the wheel turned and punch it the damn traction control kicks in and kills the gas... leaving me with a dead pedal when the car is halfway in the traffic lane. I've had it happen several times now and it's pissing me off. A traction control that cuts the fuel is extremely dangerous... and half the time the tires aren't even loose. I guess for now I'll be shifting into L to get out into traffic.

Unless anyone knows of a way to permanently disable this stupid thing (and I've tried pulling up the e-brake handle a little, the dinging gets annoying). I don't want... and don't need... another electronic nanny.

Well I believe it's linked to the ABS...so you could always pull the ABS fuse. Of course, you're fucked if you have to panic brake, and you'll have a dash light lit up all the time...

But hey, ABS is just another electronic nanny anyway!

 

get the pcm tuned dude. I hate it too i feel it really bogs down the car when trying to merge onto a really busy highway. I dont know if i will get it turned off when i do my tune because of the winter.

 

t/c is lame as hell vector thinks they can remove it when tuning for us
